Anyone who finds this awkward probably is not a fan of silence. But to those people, I would like to say: try not to default to insecurity in such moments, but just use such moments to experience what you are feeling at that moment without judging. These two men seem to be taking the time to let their own emotions sink in from the message and the response to the message respectively. There is no need to fill up every silence with pointless babbling just so nobody feels uncomfortable, in my opinion. Allow yourself and others some space to feel things.
That’s not awkward, it’s just how British people react. A British bloke being British
Please give us a follow up. How is the chap today?
To everyone saying it wasn’t awkward because it was genuine emotion from the guy. Correct, it was the other guy standing there smiling like a goofball that made it awkward.
What's awkward about it?
he said he'd been using it as a cock ring
I love Geoffrey Munn, he’s such a gentleman.
What do I do now. Put it on EBay. The fact it’s been on TH-cam should increase its value 👍🏻
Ha 😂 brilliant 👏
Wait what? I thought it was going to be worth like $20 or something - this isn’t awkward, lol.
Well? Kiss him, you Fool! But seriously, the owner is obviously gobsmacked. I don't know if it's awkward though. The guy is showing real emotion. I've seen more awkward moments on the American version where a treasured possession has been mounted for display and the appraiser has to tell the poor slob that it's an obvious fake. Now THAT'S awkward,
I agree with the others who have said this is NOT awkward. I'm glad I don't see human behaviour the way you do Milo.
Clickbait
This was the moment when Jesus kicked the merchants out of the temple.
What was the background to this story? I thought the valuer was brilliant. He let the moment play out, clearly some of the clip had been edited out
How is this awkward? It's lovely. I would like to know the history of the piece, though. I wonder what makes it so interesting and valuable.
I mean, the host guy could've said something. Lime wtf are you waiting for there, the train?
Pointless shite editing
The video editing is the only awkward thing here!
As others have said, it's not awkward beyond the man not being able to express everything he's feeling. The guy telling him the information should have asked him how he was feeling and commented that he must be pretty overwhelmed, thus giving the other man the freedom to let out some of his emotions. I suppose it might have been awkward for the interviewer, but he's used to seeing emotional people and should have been able to deal with an emotional guy who was overwhelmed.
Just imagine what was going on in all cloisters and caves in the background while this was being said. Mass distraction
Would have like to know why it was so valuable.
I know how this man feels almost. A close friend of mine lost his entire life's work, house and savings to a conman and was broke for 7 years. He ate peanut butter sandwiches for a year to survive. His health took a bashing. He got a job, got bullied, had nervous breakdowns and lived on $15 a day. His big treat was a coffee at Starbucks and a movie on weekends when he could afford it. One day he bought a lottery ticket on a whim and 3 days later I was with him when he decided to check his prize. He'd won half a million dollars. He broke down and cried and cried and cried and was speechless. 7 years of hell were over. The conman went to prison, came out and continues to con people and my friend was lucky but went through 7 years of punishment while the conman enjoyed 3 square meals and upon release puts others in prison on the outside. But I'll never forgot my friend's awkward loss for words. Still remains the humble and nice guy he always was.
That’s an amazing story. I love when peoples luck turns like that. How’s he doing now?
And on today's episode of things that never actually happened 😂
awkwardness of the English culture regarding expressing emotions other than elitist disdain
Fiona Bruce makes that in a working week
I’m so happy for this man. No wonder he was speechless-he obviously couldn’t have imagined the value of the ring. ♥️
He was speechless, good for him! Plot twist! it fell out of his pocket going home.....
I’ve seen people cry tears of joy over $20 There’s really nothing awkward about this but you got me to click anyway 😁
Awkward because the appraiser did nothing to further conversation so made it awkward. Obviously the man was overwhelmed.
Ladies and gentlemen: two British men trying their darnedest to convey their feelings.
Not awkward at all, I'm happy for the bloke
Awkward how?
What's awkward is you going back and forth between the sharo original footage and fuzzy blown up footage to hide the fact that you're repeating the same footage over and over again.
That wasn't awkward, it was just very British.
What's awkward about this and why did it come up on my search for 'A Town Called Malice'? 😅
And nobody bought it
In the end, it fetches £100
what is awkward about this?
What’s awkward is how the appraiser stared at the ring owner.
Wow, truly speechless 😊 Isn’t that wonderful for him? $20,000.
Pounds, not dollars.
The Brits are so stiff! Give the man a hug 🤗
Calm down, Billybob
Glad you got ratio’d on this
edited and obvious :P

Yeah but why are you filming it? You should be wiping it off your mum's curtains before she comes into the basement and catches you.
