Been a sportsmans for 53 years, stopped by dnr several times, never a bad experience. My son on the other hand, had a dnr officer walk up to him 45 minutes before shooting time ended while in a treestand deer hunting, the magic hour. I dont care what anyone says, that was wrong, on so many levels.

Have you guys checked out the new bait from Leland Lures (Trout/Crappie Magnet) called he "Roo"? I recently got some but haven't had the chance to fish them yet. They look awesome, it has a Bobby Garland shad body with the dual tail like a crappie magnet. I've always done well with both the Bobby Garland Shads & the Leland Crappie/Trout magnets so by combining them into one bait, in my opinion, is awesome!!! Just waiting for the weather to get warmer to try them out, it's really cold here in North Carolina as well.

Here is my issue with your ending 1. You are complaining about not getting a citation because you broke a law. He gave you the option ti just leave. 2. He educated you about giving away fish still counts as your limits. 3. Technically you being in the water and catching those fish was against the laws in that spillway. Which means you used an illegal method catching those fish....ie: in the water. 4. You say you were doing things by the book....yet you were in the water. I do agree that it wasnt a big deal. But you are playing victim and yet you broke a law/rule. Then he educated you about the laws of giving away fish.

Wonderful seeing a father and son fishing video. Law enforcement bluffs a lot for a variety of reasons. They get complaints and they have to follow up on them. Decades ago I parked in a shady public parking space to wait for someone. The parking spot was near a playground. A mother called a city cop and he ordered me out or else. I couldn't waste time playing his game so I moved. This type of thing probably happens hundreds times a day. I figure why make a big deal out of it. Besides, some cops are power hungry nut cases. Those types are rare and the other cops don't even like them.

Good videos, nice slabs. The reservoir I fish here in NM has so many white bass it's hard to catch crappie at night. Last night trip I did I caught a 18.7lb blue cat, but I had 10lb line, so needed to take my time.
