No, on the Aerostar you do not have to switch fuel tanks. But I fly mine a lot different than others. If the tank is full, I will put my switches on feeding just from wings until I get to about 10 gallons on both sides then I switch to both. You do not have to fly the plane like that, though. It automatically feeds evenly through the entire system.Another reason why I try to use the cross feed is because I feel if you don’t use things they tend to go bad so I try to utilize everything in the plane frequently.

No, I currently don’t have the commercial multi. The insurance can run you anywhere from 6000 to 14,000 but it’s honestly worth it for what the plane gives.

Awesome. Will do. If it’s something you really want to do ,just do it. I 100% suggest getting two flights in to make sure that it’s something you really want to do. Then if it’s something you want to do ,focus more on the ground school versus the flying first . Once the ground school is out of the way then you can enjoy the flying part even better. check out my IG and get with me on there.

I have a really good friend of mine that I met on the line at an airport. He flew in on one. I didn’t know what it was. He told me what it was and I bought one a couple months later lol that’s how I got into the Aerostar. To me ,my multi was a pretty hard rating but I’m sure it will be easier for you. Before this Aerostar I had around 300 to 400 hours.insurance on these birds will run you anywhere from 6 to 14k depending on your experience and time. I’m now at about 600 and something hours.
