During most of these iMac SSD and/or CPU upgrades, it not mentioned about replacing the clock battery while access is available during the motherboard removal. It's only a $5 or less cost for a CR2032 battery and they are normally only a 5 year shelf life on your motherboard, so replace it while you have access to it!
I’m glad you brought that up-you’re absolutely right. While you’re at it, you might as well replace it with a new one. Back when I had those iMacs and replaced components like the SSD, CPU, or RAM, I typically had a brand-new or at most one-year-old iMac's. So, it never occurred to me at the time, but it’s an excellent idea, especially if you’re working on older iMacs now in 2024.

I know it's been a long time since this happened. But I wonder if Ebay doesn't have to test first pay later, and if the buyer returns the item it must be in the same condition as when the seller sent it? So security for both. Was there no such agreement?
I was expecting the same thing to be returned to me and when I received a new box prior to opening it, I made sure I recorded the video because I had a weird feeling that this was not going to be what I thought it was going to be sure enough it was som totally different. Unfortunately, eBay has the buyer protection program, which helps the buyers more than the sellers and I was unfortunately a victim of a scam that cost me my iMac Pro and the loss of my account that I had since 2004 and I never heard anything from them since this issue. they didn't even wanna entertain the video that I recorded. They simply wanted me to refund the money and accept what I received in return and that's it. The problem is that prior to the return, completing they suspended my account while I was arguing this return, and during that time once they make that decision, they do not entertain anything else I was fortunate to find out that this was a permanent suspension, which meant there was no way of getting out of it and that my account was permanently suspended forever. What I did not post on the video was that the person account that was used to buy the iMac Pro closed shortly after everything was considered final with the transaction. I tried to do my best to contact them, but I had no luck. I really liked that computer even after I sold it which I had a bit of sellers remorse, but prior to the issue when I sold it, I came to the understanding that I made the decision consciously and accepted it, but to this day, I still miss the computer, I know I can buy another one, but because of this issue, I no longer want to get involved with that computer. I just feel it's bad luck.

If you have an old OS system, to switch the principal and the secondary, you have just to drag only the white upper bar on the monitor display to the other monitor and it works! If it isn't clear, ask chatGPT, he was the light that have guided me ;)

I have created a image of the WD MyCloud 2 TB with dd from Linux - drive.google.com/file/d/1--op1Qgez59kdmH2nLW4D6KxtADfqlBi/view . The thing is that using a live Linux version, you might need to resize the last partition to the size you have left on your hard disk that you’re restoring it. I have created the last partition of only 5 GB and it can be resized using Gparted. The image needs to be restored using dd after being decompressed. I think this is an image I have restored it on a 160 GB HDD so good luck.

Is there an alternate way to swap main display or revert? Here's the situation... my second monitor will sometimes be 50 feet away, or in another room. I will be unable to mouse over from my laptop and drag a little white menu bar in this case. I know cmd+f1 will end mirroring, but that will not always be the best solution.
