How GOOD was Ken Griffey Jr. Actually?
How GOOD was Ken Griffey Jr. Actually?
If you were asked who the most talented baseball player of all time was, who would you say? Would you say it’s Shohei Ohtani and his two way superstardom? Would you say it’s Barry Bonds and his absolutely INSANE power hitting statistics? Or, would you go a different route and say that it’s someone like Mariano Rivera who dominated almost every single hutter he ever faced? Well, all of those would be very good answers, but when it comes to pure talent on the baseball field, it’s hard to argue against The Kid, Ken Griffey Jr. If you’re a baseball fan, you know all about Junior and his silky sweet swing. He’s one of the coolest, most consistent, and most recognizable athletes not only in Major League Baseball history, but in North American sports history as a whole. Baseball kids have been wearing their hats backward because of Griffey Jr. for the last twenty plus years, and that will probably continue until we’re all long gone. The impact that Junior had on the game is unmatched in this era, and to this day if you ask a baseball fan who had the prettiest swing of all time, almost every single one of them will say Griffey Jr. The guy was insane, but just how good WAS he? That’s what we’ll be going over today. In this video, we’ll be going over the entire baseball career of Ken Griffey Jr, and just how much impact he had on America’s favorite pastime. Be sure to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications so you’ll never miss a video like this one!
On Baseball Yak we will go through MLB highlights, player profiles, MLB recap, and everything baseball. Stay tuned for the latest MLB and baseball content, where we continue to swing for the fences.

    Bo Jackson was the best two-sport athlete of his time. He was an extraordinary athlete, known for his incredible versatility and raw power. He was a monster as a running back who could play, but his football career was cut short. He was dominating as a two-sport athlete who embraced his place as a world class athlete. Despite his relatively short baseball career, Bo Jackson made a significant impact. He was one of the few athletes to excel in both Major League Baseball and the NFL, making him a true legend in the world of sports.🏈🏈🏈🏈⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️

    Ken Griffey Jr was ahead of his time. He also was one of the most dominant and beloved baseball players of his era. He is the son of a former baseball player whom been around the game of baseball as long as he remembered. He was known for his incredible athleticism, smooth swing, and defensive prowess in center field. I love him as a kid when he played for the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds. He entered the Baseball Hall of Fame by his achievements and accomplishments. Back then, baseball was a game of where players didn’t use steroids or cheat to play. Playing for 22 seasons in Major League Baseball is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Ken Griffey Jr.'s talent, dedication, and resilience. Maintaining a high level of performance over such a long period is no small feat

    • @BriggsSeekins
      @BriggsSeekins 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@baseballyak it's really not subjective. He was maybe the fifth best player on his team even when he was an all star. I remember his era and nobody viewed him as one of "the biggest stars in baseball." He simply was never viewed that way so the use of a phrase like that is the sort of careless use of language that AI seems to generate.
