This channel, Safa and vc let’s get it are the best bike channels on TH-cam! Such a refreshing vibe and style to cycling you don’t get from a lot of the other channels. No offense to those channels, I love stuff like Francis Cade’s bike packing adventures and such, but there’s definitely an overall stuffiness, blandness and sometimes just corny feeling you get from a lot of cycling channels and personalities online. Glad to see it’s changing 🔥

I winter in the Philippines- not Manila- and train on empty roads in clean air. I race in Europe. Manila looks hellish. The traffic, pollution and danger of an accident are really unattractive. I know you make the best of it but no city is any good for cycling. You have to ride out of it to get to half decent roads. Even those climbs you show, with so few roads, you still share them with traffic. There are so many alternatives. Finally, pleasure cyclists on racing bikes always strikes me as odd. Everyone seems to pose as if it’s a fashion accessory. That’s what I dislike about cycling. It’s replaced golf. The work ethic isn’t there, people don’t race, aren’t particularly fit or any good but it’s fun. Everything today has to be fun. There’s something so superficial and meaningless about today’s younger people. Lost and searching for purpose, belonging and meaning. They won’t find the answer in cycling unless you are a real biker and not someone following a popular trend. Anywhere with countryside, clean air, less traffic is better than that place.
