    Hi Kolby, I enjoyed this video very much and just want to say how much I enjoy your channel. I hope and pray that things go well for you and your fiancé this year. Are you going to get more chickens? When I was a kid, on our very small farm in western Washington state, we had chickens, ducks and geese! And little bantams, to keep the bugs down. Anyway, that’s why I first started watching your channel. Keep up the good work!!

      I definitely intend on getting chickens again this year but only a few. Definitely have to have things set in order first, I'm hoping for midsummer to bring in chick until after our wedding at the end of May I don't think I'll be able to do much to get ready for them. But things are looking up and I appreciate the prayers and thanks for watching

    You are incorrect. Holtzfforma chainsaws are not clones and they are not knock offs. When Stihl or Husqvarna are updating or no longer interested in manufacturing a series of saw, they are bound by trade laws to supply parts for 10 years. They then sell the rights to Holtzfforma who then own those series and manufacture them. That does not mean the quality of the Holtzfforma is as consistently as good as Stihl or Husqvarna, although it must be said husqvarna and especially stihl have had certain ongoing issues themselves. The thing that sets Holtzfforma apart to other chinese chainsaws is you can replace parts on them with genuine stihl or husqvarna parts. That is not to say they are even better than a couple of other chinese saws none of which you have there. I was amused at another video where some lad was complaining about some basic broken parts like rope pulls after he had slabbed thousands of feet of timber, which would happen even to a major brand saw. The crazy thing was he was replacing the faulty parts with holtzfforma parts instead of genuine husqvarna parts. The 70cc version of the husqvarna is the 272xp and is the holtzfforma g272xp

    We bought the Holzfforma G660 with a 36 inch OEM STIHL bar with chisel skip chain for an F2plus chainsaw mill. We went with a Farmertec High Output Oil Pump with a 1.3 mm stroke. We added an OEM STIHL chain adjuster, an OEM STIHL decompression valve, an OEM STIHL Recoil Rotor and a Dual Port Muffler Cover then we ported the Resonator. The saw has paid for itself after the first couple of uses and we are VERY PLEASED. Run it rich and with 32:1 mix. We will put a real carburetor on it if it is necessary in the future, So far so good.

    @garymcmullin2292 ปีที่แล้ว

    pretty well presented and insightful. The clone saws are best suited to someone with ability and interest to work out the bugs and perform upgrades. These saws are steadily improving but the issue is inconsistent manufacturing and quality control. A variety of sources in China produce parts, not all are the same in dimension, finish or build quality. These parts are sourced by "trading companies" aka Holzfforma, and they assemble saws from the parts supply. The degree of variation in this path to a finished saw is tremendous. I just bought a copied Husqvarna 372 and a 288. I knew all the probable weak points from massive watching of videos. The first thing I did is invest in OEM or verified good quality aftermarket parts to replace trouble spots...cylinder, piston, crankshaft assembly, carburetors, recoil starters, oil pumps. And when the saws were delivered I never even started them, just went right to a full teardown and rebuilt with upgrade parts. I also brazed in a 1 inch muffler exhaust port to assist breathing and heat removal. I was pretty well impressed with the saw as delivered, but did find several assembly variations that were not so good. Yeah it may seem overdone and to some it defeats the cost savings but that is not so in my thinking. I am still well under half the price of a OEM Husky saw and since I collect and work on saws I am pretty confident these saws will perform and stand up well. These saws I do not believe ought to be run on low oil ratios, stick with 32:1. In milling you will find that heavier oil, tune it to the rich side and removal of the air cleaner cover to allow good heat dissipation will pay off. Get an after market air filter if need be, that is what I did on my milling saw since removal of the air cleaner cover left no provision to use the stock air filter. I milled with a Jonsereds 910E in the 80's and 90's, still running the same piston, rings and cylinder today and it looks ever so good in there!

    • @schlomoshekelstein908
      @schlomoshekelstein908 ปีที่แล้ว

      so you bought a chinese saw and then replaced the 'problem spots' with OEM .cylinder, piston, crankshaft assembly, carburetors, recoil starters, oil pumps???? so you saved like what $20 over buying a real husqvarna?

    • @roamingducksfarm4828
      @roamingducksfarm4828 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not exactly, the only part I replaced with was the carburetor. The cylinder and piston are aftermarket big bore, the crankshaft assembly wasn't touched, only the recoil rope was replaced, not the recoil assembly, and I have not touched the oil pump yet. With all that said I'm still around $300 less than used saws of this model. I'm still less than half the price of a new one
