Extremely low tide. Had to drag kayaks. Great fishing. Totally different than the day we fished the extremely high tide. I like low tide fishing much better.

Extremely high tide. Launch was flooded. Tough fishing - over 8 miles paddled, hundreds of casts over 9 hours of fishing, and only 4 underslot fish to show for it. Posted this video so you don't think we always have it easy.

I mistakenly uploaded this video to another channel before I figured it out, so this is a bit outdated. Fished with Matt today. More of an adventure than anything else. Furthest paddle I think I have done. Found some promising spots, saw more fish than I caught. As always the scenery was beautiful. And as we already know, a day on the water is still better than (fill in blank).

Bought a bonafide 127 12/19/24. Having so much fun fishing the natures coast. You have some great videos.
@@benjaminhrabina4194 127s are so stable, enjoy mine. Not the fastest kayak out there but it’s stability over speed for me.
@ i recently registered it with a Bixpy I bought on FB marketplace. Well worth it.
@@benjaminhrabina4194 I have been looking at bixbys. How much of a pain was it to register the kayak? MSO and a bill of sale?
@ it was a pain… MSO, bill of sale is all you need. I went 5x to DMV 🤦🏻. Citrus county has the nicest employees though. Then I just steer with my paddle. It works for now.
@ MSO has a backside. Needs to filled out by seller with authorization of the business where you purchased the kayak
Those beautiful hard fighting trout….thanks for taking us along! High Noon

Great video! Trout are a very underrated fish in Florida I feel like. When you hook into one that’s 18” or bigger they fight really good!

@@ItzFlood- Thanks for watching. This trip was from Allen Park.
How can you be Kayak fishing in Crystal River if you are in a different city (Inglis/Yankeetown)?
@@PhilipVaughn-ri8vb Good question. I use Crystal River because it is the largest, and most well known, city on the coast and is the destination for most vacationers. So, folks who plan on staying in Crystal River will more likely than not search for “kayak fishing in Crystal River” because that is where they will be staying, or spending a lot of time. I use it so people can easily find a resource. Of course if one searches Yankeetown, Ozello, Cedar Key, etc. they will still find the video. In the end it’s about reaching the widest audience.
Nice work. What creek was that? Looks tough to navigate.
@@stephend3494 We go back into the feeder creeks from the launch, from those those feeders you can work your way out to 4 named creeks or more depending on tides. So, yeah we just stay in back and move around as the tide dictates. We launched at the Vassey Creek launch.
@naturecoastinshorefishing4397 that's basically my backyard... Have you made it up to Demory creek yet?
@ Demory is a haul, but yeah made the trip only a couple of times, then Sandfly on the way out. It’s a long day, but when the tides and winds are right, and we feel full of energy, evert so often we’ll make the paddle. Caught some big Snook back there.
If you ever come over South of Tallahassee let me know. I fish the creeks in St Marks, Panacea, Wakulla area.
@happy_hartshornes thank you. Same invitation for you if you make it down this way. I do make it as far north as Steinhatchee to fish. Have driven the coast, and love Appalachiacola and Port St Joe.

Negative tide fishing is some of my favorite!! Great video!
@@CreekDonkeyFishing Thanks. Yeah, I like a captive audience-those fish have no where to go! I really like the negative tides because it helps me learn the bottom of the area. The dragging of the kayaks though….

@highnoon116 Natural areas are recovering fine. Some new cuts through the mangroves. Man made things have taken a hit. Some businesses have closed, some sold, over 100 homes received the County Notice of Death. That is, build back to code or don't build at all. Oh, I emailed you yesterday.

@@justinsincyr7754 The route you outlined is a good winter route, just did that yesterday. Had a real good day with trout, about 2 dozen keepers. Video in a couple weeks. There are a lot of options launching at the bridge, feeder creek short cuts etc. but if you stay on the main river you’ll find your way back! There are 2 other public launches on Ozello Trail, each offers different types of fishing. Get yourself a Christmas present and go out with fishheadkayakcharters.com. Never felt reel comfortable fishing that area after seeing the all the oyster bars at low tide.....I'm more comfortable off the Waccasassa River north to CK and south to YT!!😎
@WesLovelace nothing but day-enders up around there. Airboat or nothing. Although, the mud minnow guy and his wife have it down pretty good.
Just found your channel....ever go out hernando beach?
I have not. Actually have never fished south of Ozello Trail. Have a buddy that lives down in Hudson, I keep threatening him to fish down that way.
Hey man i went out of yankeetown the other day and tooled around a bit, only caught a small catfish. You got any preferences on where to go out from like the boat ramp during different tides or just in general? The wife is gonna kick me out if i dont bring back dinner next time after how much money i spent to go fishing😂
@@KirkMcGirk what launch did you use? I am assuming you were using bait.
@naturecoastinshorefishing4397 went out of bird creek beach. Not sure if there are better places to launch a kayak or what. Typically just use lures. A spook and mirrodine are my go tos for the most part, but I threw a zman mulletron my friend gave me for awhile that caught me the cat. Only have two rods at the moment so I try to not be changing.
@@KirkMcGirk Catching the cat threw me, usually a sure sign of bait. If launching from Bird Creek Beach head east (left) then after the 2nd big island turn north towards Kelly Creek. This is where I start fishing the north bank at the turn, then the channel, bars and shore towards Kelly Creek. Then fish the south shores in Kelly creek, points, creeks, oyster bars, and islands in the creek, then on the way back repeat on the north. Just hit all those fishy spots, explore the small creeks. Summertime is tough, keep that in mind. If you noticed, no videos from me lately. Fish your favorite soft plastic, 4” paddle tail darker colors for Yankeetown. Top water in the morning, or mirrodines all day along side channels little deeper water etc. Route is on Google maps.
@naturecoastinshorefishing4397 yeah I did notice. Was looking for one to see if I could recognize any summer spots next time i go out lol. I don't blame you though, it was over cast all day and I still got sunburnt and dehydrated out there. I did notice you're typically using darker colors so I definitely need to grab some. Appreciate the tips man!
