I just ordered the Lumix S9 with the 18-40mm kit lens after being disappointed with the video recording capabilities from the Sony Alpha 7C II which I just owned for a few months and barely used. The Sony Alpha 7C II has some terrible image stabilisation when compared to its competition. I am even surprised that Sony can't even closely with what Lumix has to offer. I also needed an everyday travel camera and the Lumix S9 with the 18-40mm fits the bill perfectly. It's less than 700g whilst compared to the Alpha 7C II (with a lens) which can go up to 1Kg. My back and shoulders would be taking me at the end of the day. Great video! I love the colours and the 3:2 aspect ratio!

The s9 is great for video, not really meant for hybrid shooters. I do video and photo and dealing with the 12bit raw files vs the regular 14bit... Its a big difference. Additionally, I never met anyone who wants to move away from the iphone be willing to spend anything higher than what their iphone costs just for video. The lumix s5ii is around 1900 euros. That's 200 more, so we might as well go for that.

1:38 Do the Phantom Luts even have an option for the ZVE10 though? This ones a bit of a heartbreaking comment because all I hear is “you cant get these looks with 8bit”… Should I just chuck the powergrades?

Great grade, may I ask which film emulation LUT or Powergrade you used for this? I am a professional colorist operating from South Africa and you exposure, white balance and grade are cinema worthy. The bleach bypass with the blue spilt tone is great. Well done!!!

Nice video but I feel like it misses the point a little bit. To me, the characteristics of a vintage lens are mainly things like bokeh or flaring, which you don‘t really see in these environments. This setup is just to clean to see any differences except for basic specs like sharpness, vignetting and contrast :/

Nice! Are you using this as a Real Time Lut? Which base profile and Lut version would you use? It’s all a bit confusing once you step outside the Lumix Lab options 😅

I tested it out because I already have an S5IIX, just out of interest. I was surprised because it was smaller than expected and the S9 was really fun and the app is very good. I bought it straight away with a Sigma 20mm F2.
