དོལ་པོའི་མི་རིགས་དང་སྐད་ཡིག Culture and Ethnic of Dolpo with Geshe Geshe Choekhortshang, PhD
On Druktalk Podcast, during the Seventh International Seminar of Young Tibetologists at Wolfson College, University of Oxford. Drukthar joined by Geshe Choekhortshang, PhD. Currently Assistant Professor at Charles University.
Geshe-la is one of the young Tibetologists who learned the Tibetan traditional Bon religion in India and later received a PhD from Charles University. He is also one of the most experienced and educated Tibetologists who participated in various international conferences on Tibetan studies.
During our recent conversation at Wolfson College, we discussed the ethnic and cultural distinctions of Dolpo and why their culture stands out from Tibet and other parts of the Himalayas. We also explored the concept of state versus nation within the Dolpo framework. Finally, we discussed the significance of the International Seminar of Young Tibetologists and the crucial role of young researchers in shaping the future of Tibetan studies.
