How to install Kitchen Sink Into A Worktop part 2
Is it essential to use biscuits as well, in the past I've only ever seen the joins done with the three bolts and glue only?
What are u rubbing over the bench?
Hi, it is the cleaning solution provided with the worktop. Thank you
4mm of blade trashed
Hi i am looking for someone to fit these worktops, every joiner has backed out when hearing compact laminate. Do you work around the runcorn area?? Please let me know 🙏🏻 thanks, R
Hi, these worktops are great, but not many traders fit them as they are high-risk. I am based in Leicester, and I don't go out of Leicestershire. I hope you find someone soon. Thank you.
Just what I needed. Thank you
Where are you based?
EAST MIDLANDS
@@PassionforCarpentry I was hoping you were near London 😊
👌
What kind of router bit did you use for cutting hole for the sink and draining
Hi, same one we use for worktop.
I am using same jigs. Supper happy :)
Great job. Ignore the haters. This is quality work.
👌
With these worktops they just butted or can you router off 3mm or is 1mm on the female part like a normal square edge solid wood? Thanks
Hi, these worktops are squre. They just need to be bolted ( specific bolt) and use biscuits for flat surface .
Teper mir 👌

My worktops were joined but a black plastic strip was put on the top of the worktops where they were joined and it just looks awful! It's the first thing I noticed when I walked in. What can be done about it please? It just stands out so much and has ruined the look of my new kitchen!!!
Hi, I am unsure how that has been done as I do not use that method. If you could email me a few photos, maybe I can point you in the right direction. Ejup@passion4carpentry.co.uk
Aww thank you so much. I'll take some now.
Great job but terrible design
Thank you. Costumer preference.

Hi I am in the middle of fitting mine i was always wondering why the bolts to fix sink are 20mm what is that plastic spacer you are using
Hi, if the screw is 20mm you should have the same plastic included in the kit for sink fixing. The plastic is flexible rather having to fix straight in the metal plate.
Another way of doing is to use adhesive that comes the same as silicone tube, but you have to support from beneath, solid wood 10 cm wide. On the front of the sink .
Super

Buy a tracksaw and ear defenders. Best to cut 5 - 8mm depth at a time with router, less strain on router and bit.
Sorry you job is trash you practice more please,
Beautiful work 🎉
Do you recommend the biscuits as well not everyone does it
Can you use this method if your corner is not at 90 degree for example if you have 120 degree corner? can you fit the first piece and scribe the second and straight cut it?
I guess as long as its SQUARE EDGE worktop
Poor audio
Do you have THIS in South Africa?
Doing OK until you used color fill as a sealant.
Colour fill states it can be used as a sealant.it is solid and waterproof for joints.i use a good silicone for around kitchen and hob cut outs.
For me personally if you do sink hole 10mm smaller would look better as sink edge would be invisible no?
Nooice!
brackets are redundant if proper adhesive / silicone is used
I would make the jig full width of the worktop, with a 2x1 lath at the front as a stop and straight edge. Keeping it parallel, I've just done a 22mm Howden joinery worktop u shaped kitchen, putting in the jointing bolts and cut outs for sink and hob, takes longer, nice router work ,cutting 4 or 5mm at a time saves your router bit.👍
How is that worktop jig any good please ?
Hi, It is a very good one, but it has only one option for big bolts, I would suggest buying Unika one that has the option for a small bolts worktop.
Thank you to reply, can’t find “Unika One” whych one is that please ?

Yes thank you! Your video are so explicit, it make life more easyer thank you for that !
@@PassionforCarpentry I bought both 700 and 900 which you sent and for bolts are the same size
Very hard and good job, that's why the kitchen fitters asks a lot off money ...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just fitted the 22mm square edge worktops from Howden joinery, I found doing the jointing bolts first in the female side first, then heat gun off the edge, was easier, then offer up the male to check for square, use the trimming bit and jig, to square the edge makes a great joint, also sink cut outs and hob cut outs, butter the cuts with silicone to prevent water ingress into the veneered edge,
