Hi. Yes all going well. Just been busy trying to finish off the Subaru. I brought both in before the changes for cars from the UK following Brexit. So if you can find one from Europe do that. But yes it is exactly like a normal car in terms of taxes. But let me know if you do get one as you will come up against a wall of bureaucracy , although it should be easier as they are now in the system as a manufacturer.

Therapy when you drive it as well.

Hi. All okay. Servicing is as per high performance car. Normal work can be done with body on. If you have to get into change a few bits and pieces the body can be taken off in an hour once you know. I had an oil cooler leak and that was body off. Frequent oil changes, spark plugs etc. Brakes last forever as car is light. Tyres not so much as super soft. As engine is a Ford, it's fairly simple and not exotic with high prices.

Yes, have to take it easy as it is way too fast for the roads. Like most modern supercars you can only open it up on track.

Yes, I think motorcycle even more raw though, at least when I have been a passenger. I have had bikes try and run with it and through corners they can't keep up. Straight line the big bikes can be a bit quicker at higher speeds.

A lot.... New they start from 150k GBP then you can quickly add on depending whether you want carbon wheels, brakes, exposed carbon body etc.

Engine wise they ae pretty simple, much like any modified car. More frequent oil changes, but everything is accessible. Main issues are checking that everything is still tight as everything is solidly mounted so the vibrations can work items loose.

As I have said many times; Roads are not race tracks. Most of the roads are narrow and 50km/h speed limit. All I need is someone to complain that I was driving like an asshole and have a visit from the police. They already like to stop the Formula 1 car. No need to give them an excuse. Also do you think showing my speed on YT is the right thing to do?

Sequential...The dude does know how to drive it. Watch my track video for the flat upshifts and downshifts, since you think a single seater with sequential gearbox mounted to the chassis should drive like a chauffeur driven limousine.

@@wrx450 You didn’t read my post or failed to comprehend it… Yes I have seen him hauling ass on the track in it and doing so well. This video was about living with it as a daily driver… this dude was getting around but putting all kinds of shock loading on the drivetrain. Do this enough and something is going to break…usually the second gear cog or it’s countershaft counterpart! The trans was clunking into an out of gears abruptly and with jolting that was far from acceptable for a daily driver. I have had plenty of hour in a formula 3 Neon. It had an unsynchronized box. I could still drive it completely smoothly using manual rev matching. And yes, so smoothly it would have been acceptable to a billionaire backseat passenger. It sounded closely like a dirt bike or sport bike jamming the gear selector down without using the clutch…Cary herky-jerky! I am a mechanical engineer with plenty of racing experience.? I could see it, hear it and even hear him getting bounced around.

I am the dude by the way. I appreciate what you are saying and agree that normally what you are you saying is right.... For other cars. This is the way to drive this, and is the way the factory showed me how to drive it. It does not need rev matching or which I do in my other cars. Gearbox has been inspected by manufacturer and it is in perfect condition after 10000klms. It is meant to clunk in and out of gear. I have another one with over 10,000 klms.as.well and no issues. Nothing has broken or worn out.

@@wrx450 Of course, it’s built to go flat out. The fact that some countries will let you put number plate on it is just a novelty. It could be of some practical value on the interstate/autobahn but around town it’s just not practical. I’d like to see it run Nuremberg… it would kick ass there!

It's actually fine around town. You are overthinking it. It was designed as a road car and homologated as such in the UK. Yes it's not practical as a daily driver, but it is absolutely fine driving it around. Easier than modified Subaru with twin plate clutch. To get it registered here was not as easy as you think. It still had to pass road test and MOT and show emissions test etc. You can imagine at first it is a no this cane be a road car. But when they see all the UK documents and then test it they could not say no. As a track car it has production car records at many tracks. The new Mono R has started breaking records again. I know they were testing it at Nuremberg a few weeks ago for a production car lap record next year.
