Caught in the snow at -11 degrees - heavy snow winter solo overnighter in hot tent
It's been a long time since I was in the mountains. I've been looking forward to going back there for a long time. The deep snow of the last few days made my adventure difficult. Since I didn't have my snowshoes with me, every step with my equipment was exhausting.
It was all the nicer to have set up camp and be able to enjoy nature and the peace and quiet.
A beautiful sunset was to die for at the end of the day.
The night started out very calm, but strong winds increased during the night. In the morning the temperatures dropped and it started to snow.
It was a great adventure and i´m looking forward to the next.

Tent: Pomoly Leo 2
Stove: Pomoly T1 mini 3
Sleeping pad: Exped Downmat 9LW
Jacket: Ridgeline monsoon classic
Trousers: Ridgeline pintail explorer
Shoes: Canadian Kamik
In the second video i was 24 hours alone high up in the mountains. Due to the freezing temperatures and heavy snow, it was a very tough tour. Frozen shoes in the morning and little food made it especially challenging.

The new year has begun and the snow is here. Strong storms in the past have caused some trees to fall. Therefore, it was very easy for me to find firewood. The next morning was even nicer as a lot of snow had fallen during the night.

Icy wind made it extremely difficult. A lot of snow fell from the sky late into the night. Since the animals have difficulty finding food under the thick blanket of snow, I built a feeding place for birds.
