@@Nerm78 I have a GT I had planned on doing an electric conversion on . I raced nitro truck back in the day and we had a pretty good group of guys running nitro touring cars in the early 2000’s . I plan on getting one of the new rere GT’s .
What's up buddy!! I used to race during the same time you did back in the day. I raced all over the country and have been to a lot of the same tracks as you have. My dad was the owner of Superior Racing Products.. we made a pan car and a dirt oval car. Really happy to have found your channel and enjoy your content. Just started to get back into the sport.. I just got a Tecno EB48 2.2 but I REALLY miss the oval racing. LOVED the Peach Bowl in Georgia, Ranch Pit Stop in Pomona, and Lake Wippoorwill in FL. I was so blessed to have been involved in the R/C industry in the 80's. Met so many amazing people and if it wasn't for RC I wouldn't have the career I do today! Thanks for the channel man!! Its my new FAV! You do look familiar, like I might have met you at a track on the east coast. GOD I miss the old times of racing!! Take care buddy!!

Hi Guru. Love you videos man you make some awesome body’s. I’m interested in making a mini truck like you did. I have an extra redcat 64 chassis. Will it work for the build or is there a reason you used the Monte Carlo chassis. I know that one come with 2 servos in front and 64 only has one. Would appreciate if you lmk if you have a chance. Thanks.
@@chadherbert6468 Cool ! I chose the Monte chassis because it was less expensive lol ! I’m pretty sure they are the same wheelbase , idk for sure. I wasn’t interested in making the truck hop so that particular setup wasn’t needed for my build . I know Waynes World on FB has several cool builds using the 64 .

@ correct the 26’s are almost as tall as the body lol ! I’m running some old chrome rpm touring car wheels . 1.9

That’s awesome! Both of them were gone way too soon! I’m thinking I’ll be getting me one of those losi NASCARs next fall if they are available lol. Might get two of them so I have one I can modify. If I do I’ll be picking your brain on how that cricket thing works. I’d do a couple Davey Allison throwbacks for my cars.

For the decals do you cut them out regular or do you flip them for a heat transfer style cut.

This came out great! I have been trying to figure out how to adapt the Kinwald livery on to an 87 Monte Carlo to use in iRacing. Seeing it on a stock car body really has the gears turning now, Happy New Years.

Yeh I'm from UK and somewhere I've got a Parma - Mark Martin, I think in US you might call it a Nascar I'm not sure. I put a 12 double in it with a tekin esc. We've never seen something move that fast

All the old stuff is cool and interesting and all, BUT it's YOU AND YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND MEMORIES that's interesting!! your channel is waaaaay more deserving than 15k subs IMHO Keep doing what you're doing, I'm from the UK, have zero oval experience/knowledge, not even particularly into the retro scene as I couldn't afford them back in the day, but came for and love the painting, watch 'em all because they're interesting Brother!!

I raced on a very low budget and still operate on a limited budget . It’s a great hobby and I’ve spent a lifetime enjoying it . No stopping now ! More paint videos coming soon.
The studio is gonna look nice with the gray and black walls, and of course a good bit of lighting, too! Wow, congratulations on the huge TH-cam boost in subscribers, I know I joined this year, primarily for the speed challenge, but then started to enjoy your paint videos a lot! Pretty awesome man what a nice facility to go race at I’ve gotta get my 1992 together my Gold pan up on TH-cam soon and get it race ready I almost had it ready till my Quickrun Esc popped switching the black and positive wires and it smoken so I had to switch that Tekin Esc the was in the Goldpan back to the 2.0 Losi buggy but I have plans on getting it finished up and up and going soon man buggy looks great, great build man hope you have a happy new years.

@@AddamsPlayground Thanks ! This old cabinet has a lot of history its self after 30 years in one of our local hobby shops . 90’s Oval racing scene was my favorite time in the hobby . Not to knock anything today . It’s a great time to be in the hobby in general these days with so much cool stuff happening .

@Okpaintguy2 there is a guy local here that has one in great shape to restore. He is just asking $200 for it but let's just say he isn't a motivated seller. I ask for a pic of the dif cover and he went off on me for the most part.
