    The left and right arm - the Ying and Yang of the Forehand! The male and female ! The soft and hard ! The power (right arm) and the grace (left arm) ! They work together. The right tells the left what it wants to accomplish ; and the left assists the right in making it happen !

    Hey Gaby, can you talk a little about how tennis forehand differs from pickleball forehand?

    • @gabypaztennis
      @gabypaztennis วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sure! well it’s different for sure. For example for the pickleball forehand I adjust my grip to more of an eastern grip. Because there’s not that much spin to generate on pickleball, but more of an extension where the body follows. In tennis there’s more racket head speed.

    • @taweller

    Why do most people use a slice as their second serve and not their first?

    • @gabypaztennis
      @gabypaztennis วันที่ผ่านมา

      The slice is more of a safety shot. It can be used as a first for the wide, that is very effective, or to the body. But you can’t generate as much power with a slice as you can with a flatter first serve. And you want to be aggressive with that first serve. But it’s always good to mix it up!

    • @ReidVV
      @ReidVV วันที่ผ่านมา

      Her "okays" don't bother me, though I get what you're saying. This video is NOT an example of what I'm about to say, but like many TH-cam coaches in anything (tech, sports, etc.), sometimes she spends a little too much time telling us what she's going to tell us instead of just jumping into telling us right away. Again, in this video she did a pretty good job of avoiding that trap. All in all, I've seen a boatload of TH-cam tennis coaches and she is one of the best TH-cam tennis coaches at giving really useful lessons that are easy to watch and then go out and use to improve your game right away. Thanks, Gaby 🙂! Others are StokkeTennis, Filipe Teixeira, Tennis Tactics, and Top Tennis Training. Watch Gaby Paz and these I just mentioned and you can forget almost all of the rest.

    • @microphonemaster484

      As I understand it, there is no contradiction. You can hit a flat serve with some slice like Meike Babel does and have more pronation, or you can hit with max slice/side spin and have less pronation and ending with the strings facing up.

    Love the breaking down of the technique. Serve is something I've always struggled with but it has always been due to ball toss being so low and not being high enough. Your video on fixing ball toss and keeping tossing hand up for a split second will hopefully help in addition to this. Keep up the videos!

    What happens to pronation during slice serve? Do you do a half pronation or no pronation at all?

    • @gabypaztennis
      @gabypaztennis 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There’s still pronation happening in the slice, but we don’t end with the strings facing down, we end with the strings facing up. We also don’t want to focus on the pronation for the slice, as it happens naturally. When players focus on pronating when slicing, they usually have a hard time slicing. (It’s something that happens naturally)
