These are incredible, I’m foaming at the mouth just looking at them. Out of curiosity, is the modlist for the server public? The link on the IP webpage seems to be broken. Edit: never mind It was just an error on my end. Seriously though these are incredible and I am seething with envy, my ships always wind up as giant blocks of thrusters no matter how hard I try to thin them down.

I've started watching pretty ship builds more carefully to figure out the players' creative headspace for greebling. I particularly appreciate the builders who extensively use 1-PCU nonfunctional blocks. Comparing these builds (not just SDX, but also vanilla and near-vanilla top builders on the workshop) to YT survival series builders, I see a lot more thought given to mixed RP/functional elements like interior hallways and using actual passage blocks instead of just laying down light armor walls and floors. And there's a loose Goldilocks zone with greebling. Too few breaks in the lines and planes is just a meta brick. Too many breaks and angles looks disorganized. Fitting survival playability and user-focused layout into all that is pretty amazing.

Hey when I load spudvouchers skips into creative they spawn with a bunch of components missing. I noticed the engines and weapons are all absent but I cant tell what else isnt where its supposed to be. I though I DL'd all the mods necessary but im not sure, do you know if theres a list I can look at to see if Im missing something?

interesting i made a ship similar to the first one and was immediately attacked and mocked that it will never be good even for TTU yet it has 6 PDC two areas and one KESS

How come the engines are all at the back? How does it function without reverse and side thrust?

Love the server when I'm able to get on and play. Which is kinda my issue with it. I wish I was able to make a light one or 2 drive ship and be able to leverage the maneuvering ability in a fight. But unfortunately the bigger ships have just as much agility as the smaller ships because there are no limits on the amount of drives per ship.

I got the puffin today, but looking again im so torn between the puffin and the aagtekerke hahah. this server really impress me well done to every single one that made it.

there are 4 coilguns on 1 of the ships HELL YEAH that guy, has the ability to fire 12 shots towards his targets, i'd say its scary to see lol

Just curious if there will be more ships added to the Shipwright? Possibly levelled where you have to gain 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, etc. the beginning costs based on utility and combat capability, as well as any levelled loot parts added - as this would be a good way to let players without DLC experience firsthand these great builds that have been made.

I Just found out about this video after player for an hour more ir less. I managed to get a drill in the pod with the space spawn. Filled the hole ship with iron but found out that i cant sell my iron in jannah. And basic refinerys in ship are to Basic for 350k iron, It will take to long hahah

As a ship designer, we don't actually do this. We usually draw it up on paper and complain about the simulator not working

as much as I want to try playing Draconis Expanse, I don't think I'd have enough time to keep up with an online server because I only get a few hours to play every other day or so due to work and being a dad lol.

I've never played this game. But even I can tell this man has above average dedication to his craft.

Honestly, i can imagine a Belter engineer who's main job has been making designs and firmware for mining drones, realizing that they can help the war effort just by changing the ship-avoidance programs to seek specific ship types instead, and having a warhead added to explode in proximity to the target

Uhm, he got the nav lights wrong way round. Red should be on port side and green should be on starboard side.

Wow, when Space Engineers was first released I was hoping for iterative, practical near-future warship design and effective cooperative fleet combat. This is freakin it! Thanks for showcasing this server!

I really wish I could have someone like that like... mentor me like holy hell... I'm okay-ish (kinda shitty ngl) and have had a lot of trouble finding my style... but yeah, these are amazing and I am speechless at how beautiful these are...

whats this server like anyway? ive always wanted to try these kinds of servers out but im horrible at ship build and have zero pvp experience

No initial design iteration survives server combat. A few months ago, I was playing a lot of Keen official servers. So everything had a max cap of 20,000PCUs, no scripts, etc. Most of the combat was reserved to planetary. You get to see how your build stands up to all kinds of strategies.

Dude.......my entire experience is finishing the vanilla first jump scenario, then threw myself into Torch official no PCU limit. Your Ore Detector setup is enough to tempt me into playing. (UN4life btw)
