I just need a reminder to do the task and the step by step instructions. I want people to say directly you stink. If you don't say you stink like body odor I won't know. Then tell me to shower. If I stink like I fart just tell me I fart and go to bathroom. If I poop my diaper say you poop your diaper lets get clean up. If you don't tell me I am wet diaper then I won't know like today I wet through my diaper today because I didn't know i was wet. Just say as is. I won't be upset because you are saying the truth and you help me with my hygiene and it makes you happy and me happy so I don't have skin issues or body odor. Including in social skills and behaviors and many other skills with multiple steps. I like to feel clean and and I don't like the smell and my skin feels yucky if I don't shower. The sensory issues of the shower is hard to cope with. The part with shower with too much pressure like after they fixed the pipes down the street at dads house made it hurt a bit. The sun or bright lights. The small space so having a shower chair was helping me and the Ballance. I wish to God people saw that before and got me a chair. I thought it was for people who can't stand or walk. Then to have the shower head come off and to have a way to turn off the water to soap up. The best part is the flower scent stuff is the part I want. The hot water bothers me. The steam bother me. Them hot water to cold air in winter so hard for me. I hate water in my face and ears. The part is bubble bath I am in water and more comfortable for me. The thing is I can't get in a bath tub.

We just got approved for my sons disability. In the letter I received there was a long list of rules about what it can and can’t be used for. it seems I can’t use it to supplement the income. I’ve lost having to stay home with him. Is there any chance you can make a video to clear that up?

Masturbating only one time a day seems crazy? I'm lucky if I even have the.... to enjoy it once or twice a week. All I want to do is have sex with a wife. This makes me feel like life can really leave you feeling crowded in a void.

My son was diagnosed with autism at two years old, and my youngest daughter was diagnosed with syngap 1. It has been over a year and a half since I applied for SSI for my son and we barely got approved last month and we are still waiting to receive the backpay and monthly benefits so in reality it takes anywhere from one to two years to receive the benefits.

If you have a child who qualifies for SSI when they turn 18 they must go through recertification process as an ADULT and most will NOT qualify then anyway. So just know parent what they don’t tell you and what she’s not saying is 8 times out of ten your child will lose SSI at 18. If they can be a greeter at Walmart then they don’t qualify

thanks so much. we're having trouble figuring out how to teach it. the male autistic child is 10yrs of age and having erections. But recently this has gone beyond just the physiological reaction of getting an erect penis, but he's clearly having urges. but he doesn't know what to do. how to actually teach him what to do? should you try to teach "it" at all, or wait a little longer, perhaps a couple of years more? it's very hard to know what to do. edit: also I should add that a lot of the information in seeing is relating to verbal autistic kids. but in our case (my nephew) is minimally verbal (understands but doesn't speak fully except in segmented sentences and words mostly, sometimes fill sentences, but can't have normal conversations. affirms something by repeating and that kind of communications)

I have a nonverbal, autistic 6 year old son. I attempted to get a disability benefit for him but was told that my income was too high. So, I went another route for his benefit later. I opened up a custodial brokerage account for him(3 years ago). I intended to deposit his full amount of disability benefits each month in to his brokerage account had he qualified. That way later in life he would not have to worry about income.

Could you please guide us to reliable sources where we can find answers regarding the OPWDD program and whether it is worth applying for, especially if it includes ABA? Additionally, we have other questions related to this issue for which we have been unable to find answers anywhere. It seems like everyone seemingly focused on financial gain from the situation but they don’t care about a child himself.

I don’t mean to be mean, but Ai think it’s deeply screwed up that you mentioned your son’s masturbation habits in this video knowing full well that he would be deeply embarrassed, and I stopped watching the video at that point. I would be furious if my parents saw me masturbating and then decided to announce that fact to the entire world.

I got denied Social Security disability, after acquiring footdrop from spine trauma. They just told me to switch careers and go find something else to do. So I can only imagine how difficult it is to get assistance if you are slightly autistic. It’s gotta be rough.

My parents told I could do it only being alone, My preference was humping the bed, so my Mom asked me to use a dirty T-Shirt instead pf the sheets. I did not do it constantly but enough. However there was this boy in the neighborhood that did it any place he could lie down and do it till completion. I do think the school had a talk with his parents because it toned down to where he might get caught, might not! I have a relative that does it against the floor often clothed, he suffers from autism. Not sure if he will ever beat the autism, he can very sociable or not sociable depending on his mood!! Autism is much more than a child masturbating, the family works around the child to maintain the child's needs.
