Hi is it possible you can test if a lekker stem fits in a geon raw housing?
Have you tried the Luminkey Magger 68 HE? If yes, which one would you prefer?
@@louisecastigador8856 hey hey, i‘m currently working on my review for the magger68 and i have a bunch of problems with it. I‘m not sure if i received a faulty unit but personally i would pick any nuphy he keeb over it.
Amazing video quality, just subbed.
@@xneiil 🫶
Hi! I'm a newbie in the keyboard game. Is it possible to switch out the springs in the Geon RawHEs to increase actuation force? I would like to use some metal keycaps and am concerned for some of the heavier keys.
@@iitbftw hey hey, hall effect switches usually have larger stems and therefore springs with a larger diameter, so regular switch springs won’t fit! But geon also offers a 60g version which should probably be enough (?). Personally I‘ve never used metal keycaps so i‘m not entirely sure how heavy the springs would need to be, especially in combination with low actuation points…
What is the keyboard/keycaps with the green accents in your video??
Wooting 80He with Meletrix Yamanote Line Keycaps
Made60 is 20$ and clears this keyboard
@@Mullaa-uj4kg absolutely not 👍
@@leoclacksfor the price, it does, but if you want something half the price, and still clears, its the ace 60 pro. Have a look yourself 😂
@@Mullaa-uj4kg it‘s definitely an ok pick if you’re on a budget and are ok with a fake wooting. But let alone the build quality, switches, firmware and software of nuphy is just miles ahead. Also latency of the nuphy boards is generally better :) take a look at the eyejoker db…
did you lube the geon raw he or any of them just wondering
@@Haru0_o96 they‘re all stock
You cannot get this right now. It's in pre-order phase. You need to wait till early December for this keyboard to start shipping and add another days of waiting. You are also forgetting shipping costs which to my location in Europe I need to add another 30 USD + to the price. Still lower than for example keychron Q1 SE but I doubt it will be as good as that one and it's still small 65 case. I prefer TKL or 75 at least.
@@rapssss The halo65 has been latency tested by multiple people and it‘s up there with the best and definitely has better latency, better firmware and better switches than the keychron which costs 100$ more… Layout is obviously preference and if you need or want a full alu case aswell :)! But again the price difference still is 100$.
No way will I accept a mouse with a li-ion battery. If it dies on you, you have to stop using it while it charges, and when the battery ages out the mouse goes in the garbage. No thanks. With a AA or AAA you can swap immediately and you're good. Love this about my Xbox controllers too.
@@robertmiles9942 that’s preference ngl! But usually these batteries last 2 years with ease and i just let my mice charge while watching youtube or doing other stuff :)
I see you got the 40g Geon Raws, do you think they were too light or wha?
@@nxu.m3403 too light for my liking! I would probably go with the 50g :)
@ I ordered the 40g - If I’m not in love I might swap the springs from the v60 Lekkers lol
Would it be possible for me to swap out the keycaps and switches in the future for low-profile HE ones?
@@gennrensalot109 hey, they switches and keycaps should fit however nuphy currently doesn’t offer the option to select LP ones in their software. Maybe shoot their customer support a message! :)
@@leoclacks Cool, thanks! Will do that. I was aware they don't have LP ones atm but I'm hoping they will eventually haha

Thank you so much for that comparriion. Canceled my order of Jade Pro´s and got myself some TTC Magnetos. I love the plastic sound, instant ASMR trigger. It sound like every key is a large key with stabs.

Great video great pictures great keyboard ❤❤❤
does it have rapid trigger though? To me, keyboards without rapid trigger are basically obsolete at this point at least for competitive fps 🥹
Heyyyy, it's a regular mechanical keyboard:)!

What do u think about coral switches, are they worse than the jade pro?
sadly i haven't tried them yet! but i could imagine that they are similar to the magnetic whites! :)

The jade pro and the black knight sound really good they have less to none of the hollow spring rattle sound that plague HE switches. They are really close to sounding like mechanical switches
@@christiancabiles8498 true but sadly the factory lube on the black knights is super inconsistent:(
so question if i preorder now would I get it in like a week or two or would it take months to get here
@@Damian_2104 it says on their site: „As long as there is stock in the warehouse, the order will be shipped immediately.“ So they should ship it instantly:)

I would buy this keybiard but I'm not familiar with this brand. They only have a 1 year warranty. Still considering it!
they've been around for quite a while :) but i have to agree 1 year warranty is pretty short!
when the companies will understand that there is already too much 60-65% hall effect keyboards and we need TKL versions?
the market is slowly developing at the moment :) just wait a bit and we will probably see more options :) at the moment you still got quite a few good options such as the wooting 80he, pulsar pcmk 2 he, sikakeyb hm80 etc. ! :)
Do you know about any carbon fiber plates that have the iso layout (and will fit in the holy60 with wooting 60)?
@@holymeth6574 sadly i don’t:(!
@@leoclacks Sadge, it really did sound the best imo. Thanks for the fast answer tho, have a good one!
Just gotta also leave this here: THANK YOU for making this, probably saved me hours of research and still not being sure what to buy.
the mode switch doesnt wobble like that in mine's lol
@@ZeroChoices damn 😭
for a thockier sound would it be better to get the zinc case or the plastic case?
@@bobjoe2604 usually plastic is your best bet for deeper sounding boards! However if you want the zinc case and want to make it sound deeper there are plenty of ways, like adding noico, trying out different fill materials etc. Can’t speak if those would work on the Zinc Case though, as I‘ve haven’t tried it yet :(
@@leoclacks thanks for the response!! sounds like plastic might be the play :)
I am tempted to buy a 80he, 2 questions. 1) i really want the frost case, worth it? Or ghost better? 2) better route, getting lekker v2 or buying jade pros?
@@schnozzola 1) absolute preference. The cases are exactly the same quality and material. You just have to decide wether you prefer translucent black or a regular translucent look. Maybe think about which keycaps you want to use, that’s usually what i do :) 2) Performance: absolutely no difference. Sound: Huge difference, lekkers are quieter, less clacky but also feel a tiny bit more wobbly and less smooth. Jade Pros sound loud and clacky, feel smoother but also feel a tiny bit heavier when compared to the l45 lekkers. Clear top housing and white bottom which is great for rgb on the lekkers. On the jade pros you always have a slight tint -> if you want to setup an all white backlight, it will be slightly blueish/greenish. In the end it’s just a preference thing. In my opinion there’s no wrong or right, just wether you like the sound or not. In my own opinion the Jade Pros are the best Hall Effect Switches available right now but there’s a lot of people that don’t like the loud clacky sound they produce and you’re best bet for a quieter switch are definitely the lekkers.

I do gaming so that will be interesting too. Was waiting for the Halo65 V2 for eons but this was a welcome surprise. Also that there aren't different colours that make the choice an ordeal. What is odd is to have a keyboard that currently can hardly be modded. So I hope it's good out of the box. What I do like and have on the Q2 are nSA low profile key caps.
