Stories that I find interesting.
Solo in Algeria: UNESCO Roman Ruins and Constantine Cliffs
Visiting Timgad is an incredible experience, seeing the majesty of the Roman city in incredible detail all preserved. Constantine is an incredibly dramatic city, with bridges, formerly with the world's steepest drops, connecting different neighborhoods of what is often called the cultural capital of Eastern Algeria.

Solo in Algeria: Ghardaia's Saharan Streets
มุมมอง 1.6Kวันที่ผ่านมา
I had one day in Ghardaia, a beautiful oasis town in the South of Algeria. A majority Mozabite area with a different culture to Northern Algeria, probably the most preserved culture I have ever visited. Unfortunately, had to then proceed to Constantine quickly, cutting my time here short.
Solo in Algeria: The Public Van near the Moroccan Border, Oran-Tlemcen
มุมมอง 13K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
After departing the train to Oran, I share my impressions of this beautiful city. An incredibly vintage atmosphere, with beautiful mountains and French architecture caressing the center. I take a shared taxi to Tlemcen, which has a much more prominent Almoravid influence. Fascinating places.
Solo in Algeria (One of the World's Hardest Visas): Appreciating Algiers' Architecture
มุมมอง 28K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
First part in a ~7 part series of my travels across the Maghreb (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco). Algiers is a gorgeous city, European in architecture but worlds apart from Europe in finance, culture, and atmosphere. Citizens gather reading newspapers over $0.25 coffees in the morning amidst the haze in the distance. Even though I was here one day, hopefully you'll find as much to appreciate about t...
Sri Lanka Solo: A Quick Recap of a Week on the Island
มุมมอง 299หลายเดือนก่อน
I do, dear viewer, get attacked by a monkey in this video. Drama! If you are here for a travel vlog and not a 3 second clip of me getting hit by a branch, this was my first solo trip ever. Relatively bold choice in retrospect. Stitched together clips from Colombo, Anuradhapura, Kandy, and Sigiriya.
Mexico City: 2000 Year Old Pyramids and UNAM University Life
มุมมอง 4702 หลายเดือนก่อน
Two different sides of CDMX. Teotihuacan contains some of the most architecturally significant pre-Columbian buildings in the world, and was inordinately more stunning in person than on picture (this video does not do it justice). UNAM is the most prestigious university in Mexico by many accounts, and I enjoyed walking around its campus and the swanky Coyoacán neighborhoods surrounding.
Mexico City: Solo in North America's Metropolis
มุมมอง 2.3K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Spent a great 4th of July weekend on a pretty last-minute trip in CDMX. Some of the best food I've ever had alongside world-class parks and museums made it wonderful. This video covers Roma Norte, Polanco, Chapultepec, Doctores, and the Zocalo, with another video focused on Coyoacan and Teotihuacan upcoming.
Going to the Northernmost Village in Senegal: Birds and Busses
มุมมอง 704 หลายเดือนก่อน
Going from Dakar and Saint Louis to Podor was not necessarily intuitive. Tons of fun, with amazing people helping out at each step. Beautiful scenery, a waterfowl national park, and historic architecture made it a joy!
Solo in Senegal: First Impressions of Dakar
มุมมอง 1394 หลายเดือนก่อน
Dakar is a surprisingly fun and dynamic city. I went this March (during the campaign season) due to a surprisingly affordable ticket, and I didn't regret my choice. Will follow this up with my travels to Saint Louis and Podor.
Kuwait After Dark: Confused with a Polo
มุมมอง 887 หลายเดือนก่อน
What's going on in Kuwait City? I certainly didn't know, so I decided to wander around town during my layover. Certainly an interesting experience, cool blend of modernism and traditional architecture. The best chicken I've had in my life as well. This ends the Cambodia-Thailand-Kuwait series of videos. Might try to transition to talking more about geography and history: some future travel is p...
Inefficiently Exploring Ayutthaya: Historic Center of Thailand
มุมมอง 677 หลายเดือนก่อน
Ayutthaya was once one of the largest cities on Earth, with over a million inhabitants in 1700. Now, it's a relatively normal mid-sized city with a fantastic architectural heritage and lots of Europeans on bikes. However, I am an American on foot.
Learning to Love Bangkok

My opinions on Thailand's big city improved a lot after plenty of aimless wandering. See some classic sights, beautiful temples a bit off the main trail, and the ramifications of my razor being confiscated at Don Mueang Airport.
Angkor, Skyscrapers, and Sidestreets: a Slice of Cambodia
มุมมอง 7208 หลายเดือนก่อน
First leg of my post-Hong Kong Cambodia-Thailand-Kuwait trip back to the US. Wandered around Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Angkor Wat.

Beautiful 😍
Very interesting ! Thanks for sharing !
The government allowed you to film on Friday cause most shops are closed and there isn't much circulation. Other than that there is much to record But ruined buildings and destroyed sites similar to syria at least Syria went through a devastating local war and Algeria as an oil gaz rich country no comparison to the gulf countries . some of them less sources but much developed in all ways and meaning mentality. Hospitality infrastructure prosperity and individual revenues. Been there in Algeria seen it felt the difference
Everyone knows the famous Hannibal, the Roman general and warrior who made Rome tremble. He rose up against the injustices of Rome, and he raised a large army to march on Rome. Well what very few people know is that Hannibal was Algerian. He was an Algerian Berber, born in Algeria into a Berber tribe. Fascinating. Unfortunately in all Hollywood films featuring Hannibal, this part of his true origins has always been erased. Other Algerian characters too. Algerians who influenced Roman civilization and who became great Roman Governors and even Emperors. Moreover, I have an anecdote, in the film Gladiators 1 and 2, Hollywood deleted from history the origin of these great Algerian characters who influenced Roman civilization.
I love Constantine. Constantine is a truly special city. She is special. Its history is incredible, very rich historically, and its architecture of the Bridges is unique. A city built on cliffs and through rock. You have to explore the city by going underneath, visiting the caves and tunnels, going around to discover the dams and bridges outside. The tunnels cross the entire city. and some places believe in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Maura's Bridge.
enjoy the empty streets in Friday ( the Muslims sunday ) because the other days you can't
Can you travel msila please it has ninja turtels at city of msila the pizza is soo good that the white pizza has white meat🤤 and they has taco warped is good
Hope you’re having fun in Algeria thanks for the video.
I am not in the country any more, but this may have been my favorite trip I've ever taken! Gorgeous scenery and friendly people.
Too bad you didn't visit the medina of Constantine.. It's a bit like the casbah of Algiers.. There is a medina in every city in Algeria. the medina of Constantine is the same style as Andalusia
Mashallah❤
wow its good
,the ruins are not Roman, they exist before the arrival of the Romans in Algeria, it is the Algerian Numidia dynasty and it is the Amazighs who have the power at that time and not the Romans, Constantine is considered one of the oldest capital in the world before the Romans
Who beheind you 😊
Welcome to algeria bro good luck 🙂👍🙂
Ayyy welcome
Visit bejaia . It has a salt lake hot water in extreme cold winter . ❤ Dont forget the underground crystal tunnels in algeria
Bejaia not bijaia
Corrected ❤️
Sadly I've left the country, but Bejaia is somewhere I want to go sometime in my life!
Friday algeria 🇩🇿 everything is closed 😂❤❤
Be great if you meet some locals and ask to try some home cooked food! Simply say you want to vlog some Algerian cuisine and people would be happy to help! Algerian food is tasty and has a huge variety of regional dishes, while the fast food is nothing special. My husband is from Constantine and they have some of the best savoury dishes like trida, tli tli, cous cous, mahajeb, chorba & bourek. While Algiers is more famous for sweets.
lol 😂 it's Friday , the equivalent of Sunday , that's why everything was closed .
الأهم التكنولوجيا ماشي لبس قصير وفاحشة الاكل جميل لكن رفاهية الأهم العلم
Friday I'm sure, all the country of Algeria is empty on this day including the beautiful city of Constantine ( city of bridges) welcome bro
I am living in Arkansas, the oldest stone I can find is Sharon Stone😄
That's why we travel!
Hello mate must be Friday street is quiet 🤫
Very quiet, nice to see the calm life.
You're welcome in Algeria! So charming...Constantine ❤...and this guy ^^
why there is no one in street

❤ALGERIA ❤
Mc do of Algeria is better than America 😂 more healthy
"Constantine is not an Algerian name" you say? It has been the name of this Algerian city for more than 2000 years (2000 not 200 years)... How long does a city need to be called in order for its name to be local??
I mean, it's of course a name Algerians use and are proud of! May have misphrased that, it was originally named after the Roman Emperor Constantine after the Amazigh name Cirta is all I wanted to explain.
crazy quality 😮
Oh the romans ruins are great in Algeria ... you must know Algeria made war against them 😂
Algeria fast food is great, and u can make almost all of it easily at home it's cheap and healthier than mcdonalds.. in Algeria we like the mediocre fries because we use lot of mayonaise or ketchup 😂
I got that! The food was good quality, still miss some of it.
Allaho Akbar

Don't forget to visit Jijel!!
Welcome To Constantine ❤

Amazing city!
You are the most welcom ❤
Looks amazing man. Really happy to see more from Algeria. How’d you find your guide in Ghardaia? I’m planning on visiting the country in April/May and it’s one of the many logistical challenges I’m currently facing 😂
FancyYellow is an agency that contracts to local guides. A bit expensive, but since my passport was being held the night before the tour I decided having some group that could vouch for me would be better than being cheap. I can give you direct information on the guide I used on this trip if you'd prefer as well. It's an amazing place, you'll have a blast!
@@Forastersoc Thanks for the recommendation! I see FancyYellow can issue the LOI as well, so that helps a lot, getting that figured out seems to be the biggest challenge overall. I’d definitely be interested in that info on your guide as well!
@@TylerRushw0rth My visa didn't need an LOI. Your millage may vary depending on country.
if you're still here for some more days, let me know.
Sadly no, but I would love to come back at some point!
Are you parisian ?
That was the guide's nickname, I am not French.
you are an American you should brought a gimble for your phone or you camera so that you can't be all over the place while you are filming , makes people dizzy watching your content, amazon is easy to order that stuff from. besides DZD 3000 a night is cheap, you almost get stranded, I'll charger you twice as much of that price, for not appreciating my country , in you state there is no mercy you pay and you shut up
how do you find Algeria
Beautiful!
I advise you to go visit Janet
I like that you care more about people's life and culture , not the touristic chances. Also you're a cool person, welcome to our boring country 😊.
Don't think it's boring at all! But I definitely travel most to see people. Sights are great, but you can get a sense looking at pictures. You never know who you'll meet though!
the boring is you, you can't do nothing with your life, you just waiting on the handout from the government, do something for your life instead complaining about the government
Hello Please Please there is close place to Ghardia It called laghaout if u wanna visit contact me ^^(for free no scam) i would like u to come and try our food i would like to be ur guide cuz i'm a member on bewelcome website and i already got visited by people Thank u and Welcome to Algeria
I already left Algeria, but thank you for the kind offer!
@@Forastersoc ur welcome make sure to come again and not in summer its burning here also make sure to try our food is delicious
Why is the left earbud sound so ok but the right earbud sound seem weak? You recorded in stereo?
@@fiudad I did record in studio. My playback seemed fine, but I'll keep this in mind for the future.
Where did you get the money from, and how did they accept you for the Algerian visa?
Welcome to Algeria brother! Great video btw. The only take away is that you move the camera too fast. Nice way back!
@@znsaidi I am working on my filming! All of the Algerian videos are already filmed, but I'll work on future ones.
It would've been better if you visited in the summer when there's touristic activities and events etc... people are now preparing to go back to school that's why it's empty
Advice him to get the hell out of this damn Algeria and never think to come back again here
