I get that (at 1:32) that the ambulance scene was cut because it looked 'whacky'. I genuinely think that *that* is how an insane person would drive, especially if they hadn't been in a vehicle (let alone a larger one) for a long time! Plus they would possibly have fun by driving "wherever they wanted" in terms of lanes and against traffic ahaha. It's not a bad scene in my opinion.... but it doesn't fit the tone of the movie overall. I'm glad it was cut, and I'm ALSO glad that we got to see what J. Demme was thinking about when shooting the movie. I like the idea of: 'A crazy person driving an ambulance', but I don't like the way it was executed. So, well done to Demme for leaving it out :) Just my opinion :)

Just like god's "interests"- typhoid and swans. Two completely different things, coming from the same person. Here Hannibal says that a person can't be entirely described upon or booked upon perceptions, he can have fully unpredictable habits.
