There’s a trick to painting multiple colors on things like the engine cover. First paint the detail cover, or sand it off as you wish for a final product. Then use either silicone or petroleum jelly on your finger to put a light coat over the area you don’t want the top coat to adhere to. Paint your top coat over the entire surface and allow to fully cure. With high pressure hose wash the cover and the top coat will come off of the detailed areas.. Give a finish sad and spray with a clear to tie it all together. Learned it from a guy who used to show cars professionally. I used it on a 65’ Mustang to detail the rims and engine components. Works great! Great video!
