Thanks for the help (y) didnt work at the begining, i get an error message : “Object doesn’t support this property or method” Find the solution on a website www.intrinsys.com/blog/2016/creating-multiple-points-in-catia-v5-using-microsoft-excel Look at the end of the page to find the solution
sir i m facing a problem when i import catia part into anays workbench the imported part is not fitting in xyz cordinate system properly image come in inclined form how can i make that part in xyz coordinate in ansys
All points must be replace by commas! That removed the error for me. You can use the find and replace option if you don't want to replace them one by one.
Mathieu J-Dupuis don't worry i have a problem in visual basic i tried everything no hopes, so fortunately i found another way using a small tool called profscan. thanx for the reply by the way
i tried all the possibilities but i always have the error : " license information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment" i use CATIA V5R21 and EXCEL 2010 Can anyone help me please ?
Miguel Leal Too complex to go into detail but I think the general steps are input a single point into a sketch copy and paste how many you need, then. Insert a design table, import xyz values into excel table modify points. Done.
Hi, I have this problem "Object doesn't support this property or method". I tried everything: I'm in part design, the Excel cells setting is Number, the plain is selected but it still doesn't work. Can you help me, please?
I'm getting the same problem as Laxman Kunwor, I get the message from Microsoft Visual Basic for Apps saying "Type Incompatibilité" does anyone as the answer to this problem ? thx a lot
I stumbled upon this problem as well. The solution is simple, but it is absurd that it does not work immediately. Open your part in a new window and try running the macro again, it should work. It doesnt like the product interface, even if you are already in a part
aapman555 Indeed you are right! Thank you very much! This is the answer for that problem! So, with the Part1 already open, open it again (after saving it)!
i got the error from the microsoft visual basic for applications in excel while doing for point with spline ,saying :system error & H800... unspecified error . any help ????
Multiply all the coordinate by a n like 10 or etc to scale up the airfoil bigger. The curve wasn't smooth because it was scaled to 1mm. 1mms airfoil is too short.
hi, i had the error "system error &H80004005 (-2147467259)" even I had in a Catia part module. The points are showed up but the spline is unable to show up. The airfoil i used is NACA 0012 and the .dat file is from airfoiltools. the error shown in spline is Two successive points are geometrically identical. I checked the data but there is no identical points. Will it be the limitation of CATIA to read 7 decimal places value from EXCEL? Thank you in advance for any reply
How to import the airfoil In a inclined plane?
Pretty nice totorial. Thanks a lot. I get en error in this line: Set myHBody = PtDoc.Part.HybridBodies.Add(). Do you have any idea what is about?
It is not working
Thanks for the video ! its awesome !
Thanks

In the Macro part it does not show me the option for Feuil2.Main Help!!
i had import the co ordinates but spline had not generated.......can someone tell me why?
thanks a lot my friend😀
Hmm... i also can't solve my model problems but it helpful!
sir i m facing a problem when i import catia part into anays workbench the imported part is not fitting in xyz cordinate system properly image come in inclined form how can i make that part in xyz coordinate in ansys
Hi Rakesh. I am currently experiencing the same problem. Did you manage to solve it?
excellent! Thank you sir!
Thanx for sharing knowledge with us, but i am getting error like subscript out of range when i run the macros from excel..help me out plezzz:(
same error here..
could u fix it?
the points are located at the metric equivalent is there a way to fix this?
i keep getting type mismatch

Same can be done in one step in Solidworks
i tried all the possibilities but i always have the error : " license information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment" i use CATIA V5R21 and EXCEL 2010 Can anyone help me please ?
i had the same error. you have to run catia in the background then this error disappears.
Thanks سپاس
And where do you get the "NACA" DATA? or where do you create them?
+francisco javier m-selig.ae.illinois.edu/ads/coord_database.html#N you can get that here.
dohyun lee thank you so much!!!
Where can I get the aerofoil coordinate?
matlab or tyoe naca airfouil data in google
at airfoiltools.com
thanks so much!!
how to copy these points in other offset plane?
+Rahul kumar change the first value (0) to the right offset koordinate
Thank you very much!!!
thank you for this tutorial
There is a way easier method to do this...
That is?

WARNING The points will import in metric. Does anyone know how to change that? I just scaled my excel values :\

+Simone Papa I have the same problem, did you find a solution?
Run CATIA part design in background
thanks
I'm getting the same problem as Laxman Kunwor, I get the message from Microsoft Visual Basic for Apps saying "Type Incompatibilité" does anyone as the answer to this problem ? thx a lot
I found the answer : points must be removed by comas into excel.
hello, did you changed the points one by one ?
nice when something works :) thanks
i am getting the same problem like others of "Object doesn't support this property or method" please need help

this is a kind of problems i hate when they occure, you never know what's going to help. i can't believe this was so simple. thanks so much
still not working... any other suggestions. :(
i got the error from the microsoft visual basic for applications in excel while doing for point with spline ,saying :system error & H800... unspecified error . any help ????
how to connect all the coordinates so the curve of the airfoil will be smoother?
Fahmi Zainal Do you get the answer already?
Nope. Sorry
+Fahmi Zainal use the spline operation
Multiply all the coordinate by a n like 10 or etc to scale up the airfoil bigger. The curve wasn't smooth because it was scaled to 1mm. 1mms airfoil is too short.
Nice job! This saved me a lot of busy work. Do you know how to get a Shapefile (.shp) (.shx) (.dbf) (.prj) (.sbn) into Catia?
thx ~ thx so much~keep up the good work
hey thank you so much... it was indeed very helpful for my team, "AeroVeda"... :)

did you get the solution over it?
KATAIAH? what program is that?
What a simple way you have explained, you saved my time. Awesome!!!
open catia and create the part before you open excell
me too, can anyone help me?
'Object doesn't support this property or method' . this is the error it's showing.... can any one help me out..!!
awesome tutorial
Thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpfull.
@youmightfindme: you need to open a module either part design or GSD or whatever.then it will work..!
South Indian idli shitty accent
See euarm's reply to Darjify and Cosmin Cojocaru. You need to be in the Part design module first.
It was very useful! thank you very much
I had the same error. Thanks for the clearness!
