good morning sir , sir please sent for that procedure in this experiment thanking very nice for lecture.
Procedure: Take a one meter scale ( -1 meter ) and fix one end of the scale with the G - clamp as shown in fig andthetie is 0.1 kg mass ( MI ) at the other end of the scale , so that this scale will now act as a cantilever . The cantilever is made to oscillate vertically by applying force with one hand gently and allow the cantilever to perform simple harmonic oscillations . Take a stop watch and find the time taken for 10 oscillations and tabulate it in the rabular column as trail - 1 . In the same manner take a second trial and then find the time period of oscillation T , .ie time taken for one oscillation . No v increase the mass to say 0.2 kg My at the free end and perform the same steps as detailed above and find the time period of oscillation T Find the breadth ( b ) of the cantilever beam using vernier calipers and thickness ( d ) of the beam using screw gauge . Now by substituting the values of Mi M..Ti .T :. b and d in the given formula , we can find the young's modulus of the cantilever Calculation
