Augering Holes and Setting Poles With Kubota SVL75-3 Skid Steer
I'm still in the 50-hour break-in period for the Kubota SVL75-3, so I needed some low-RPM work to do. Setting the final three telephone poles for the shipping container roof was the perfect project. I used an 18" auger bit and dug the holes 4ft deep. Each pole got 5, 80lb bags of concrete.

    I dig your steps man. I'm going to do mine soon. I have to go 100 meters down to the lake and drop a bit more than 60 meters. It's a daugnting task. I've already bought gumpoles and rebar, so instead of using planks, I'm going to stack two gumpoles one on top of the other as they are much cheaper than planks. Ill probably drill holes through them, on the ends to put the rebar through so that they are held in place. I'll bend the end of the rebar over about 1 inch to 90 degrees. Gumpoles were only about $0.38 each for the 600mm or 2ft lengths. I'll probably do a video of it.

    Why is that cutter bouncing everywhere?

    • @badcanyon
      @badcanyon 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mower is too heavy for the small skid steer (Cat 239D). When I have it slightly lifted off the ground, it causes the skid steer to kind of teeter totter, which results in a bunch of bouncing. It sits on two steel slides in the front, which can dig in when the ground isn't flat and dry, so I often have it lifted up just a little. I've since upgraded to a Kubota SVL75-3. It's heavier and much more stable with this size mower. On flatter ground, I run with it all the way down and it glides nicely.
