Glenmaroch Lane
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 14 ม.ค. 2024
Based around a quaint little end of the line station in the Highlands of Scotland, this oo gauge model railway build is the latest in dcc technology seamlessly blended with classic modelling techniques. Featuring Glenhopps halt and the distillery from which the station got its name, late 80s is the theme with some wonderful examples of traction and rolling stock always making appearances.

A small collar mic and some slight sound proofing to dull the echo down and over time you'll become one of the best model railway channels on here
We have had all kinds of issues with sound... the mics we are running are actually extremely good, but the echo from it litterally being a cupboard under the stairs is proving impossible to cancel out. We are working on it so expect improvements over time lol
Excellent structure lighting! Good update!
Thank you KandWRailroader, really appreciate your comment, Stay tuned for more episodes to come 😁
Just goes to show, you can have a realistic layout that gives you a lot of challenges and enjoyment without a lot of space. Well done.
Really appreciate your lovely comment and glad you enjoyed the video. Many more episodes to come too 😁 Many Thanks
Great Update layout looking good - love the 37
Thanks 😊
Excellent detail and brought to life by Mark's videoing. I enjoy your updates Andy and looking forward to seeing the finished station lights. Amazing work gentlemen 😊
Ì have been to some really beautiful Scottish remote stations and your station terminus is so very real to life Andy. A cracking setup.
Excellent layout and videos. Amazing hard work lads
A nice layout with some interesting rolling stock
Thanks 😎
Tomas has no pistons or coneting rods either .
Eh??
Well it was nice of your other half (some say "better" half...I think the jury is still out on that blanket statement...LOL) to grant you use of that space!
Someone told you you didn't have room for a layout in your house, didn't they? I'm guessing you said something along the lines of, "challenge accepted?" Well done!
Hi, if you watch the first episode, I actually mention how it all started. Many thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it 😄 Andy
On another note, I also have another layout in the attic which is DC too
Fantastic progress. Layout looking great.
Light bleed is frustrating love the layout 👍👍👍👍
Hello everyone, just a quick correction, my name is "ANDY" and not Colin, I don't know where that's come from as I've never said Colin in my videos lol. Anyway thanks for all the lovely comments and for the new subscribers, it's much appreciated 👍
Hi Colin, just liked and subbed, fantastic layout, really captured the Scottish Highlands vibe, thanks for sharing, take care, all the best from Scotland, Stephen .
Hi great channel just one question Colin what make are the fir trees please thank you .
Hi, the trees are from The Model Tree shop. Hope that helps Andy 😊
Fantastic update, this is really coming together so nicely. Have been watching your videos since you started but don't yet think I have commented. I love what you are doing with this layout. Keep it up. Hylt
Great update, the layout is coming along nicely and is looking great...cheers James 🙂👍
Just the right length of video (some people go on too long). But don't say "like and subscribe" right at the very end . You need to give the viewer time to do it.
Looking excellent pal, the dcc sound chips have come on a long way haven't they.
Wonderful work and video looking forward to seeing more 😊. All the best Colin from Mossend railway oo.
I think I can see you
There were certainly some lovely layouts there by the looks of it. I'll bet you had a good day there. Thank you for sharing....cheers, James 🙂👍
Thank’s for sharing. 😃👍
Great view !
Hi, Only just come across your channel. A lovely layout you got there in build. Looking forward to see how it develops.
Thanks for the lovely comments, yeah it's only small but very compact and will be highly detailed, so watch this space 😁
Nice set up! Looking forward to updates.
Looking really good. Could you possibly tell me the make of the pine trees you are using please, as you say they look very realistic. Also what brand are the buffer stops? Keep up the good work 👍👍
www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/ This is the company I got the trees from. And this is where I got the buffer stops from www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204731312801?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=cidr6onxs4q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9TwmpoRmQji&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

What make is the Brewery building?
The distillery building is a Modulux kit with added extensions 😁
@@GlenmarochLane thank you
Hello, a very interesting video as usual. I like the presentation of your work, and Scotland 🏴 railways is my best interest too. 😃👍
Hi, glad you're enjoying the updates, really appreciate you taking time to watch them. Many more episodes to come, so stay tuned, and if you could be so kind to let others know about this channel, we'd be so grateful 🙂 Many thanks again 😁
Nice idea
Thanks a lot 😁
The layout is really coming along nicely. I just watched this and some of your other videos with my grandson(12). He likes your layout. He's just started to build a 009 layout, which he's filming for his Dylington Model Railway channel. He's also filming our little model railway Dylington. He's not doing a bad job of filming it and has recently started to add stop-motion animation to the videos. They are great fun to create with him, have a look, and see what you think. There's plenty of rule one used. Anyway, he's subscribed to your channel ... Cheers James 🙂👍
Wow that's awesome, we'll check that out and subscribe too, many thanks for subscribing here too 😊
@GlenmarochLane you're welcome, I hope you enjoy our Dylington nonsense. Let me know what you think to his channel, and thank you for subscribing....cheers James 🙂👍
Ok I got to know. Where you are standing between wall and layout. Is that the corner or does it go the full length of the layout? How wide is it?
If you watch the first episode, it explains how big the layout is...... It's basically a L shaped layout which is end to end 😊
@@GlenmarochLane ok I’m just getting claustrophobic
Looking good. Just subscribed so I can see the layout evolve!
Thanks for subscribing and your comment, stay tuned also for the 2nd part of the little build, should be uploaded very soon 😊
I like the idea of having an old disused bridge. Good looking station plan. Very tight little TMD might not warrant hard standing on the siding. Reminds me of a Heritage line with everything tucked into one space. It looks like you have made good use of a very small space.
Thanks George, the hard standing will only be in the shed and poking out the front a little, the side of the shed will be ballasted, but many thanks for your comment, much appreciated 🙂
When you want a model railway you make do with what ever space you have. Its going to be a good one and I'm looking forward to following your progress.
Thankyou for your brilliant comment and thanks for watching
Hello, i have subscribed. 😃👍
Thanks for subbing, really appreciate it 😀
Just Sub'd this is a cracking layout in a well worked space, lots to do and the progress looks great, always nice to see some scot rail running :-) keep up the good work
Thankyou for your lovely comment, really appreciate it 😊
Great video and I love what you have done so far. Look forward to more. Bernie from NZ
Thanks Bernie, it's great to have people viewing from across the water, many thanks for taking the time to watch the video, much appreciated 🙂
You have made some excellent progress. Where did you get your personalised shirt from, please? Also, those wonderful photos? I look forward to watching your next video.
Hi the shirt came from here www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144353453269?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4-y2_KeyQhW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9TwmpoRmQji&var=443668699936&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
This is where I got the prints from too www.stuartblack.com/category/0/1/locamotive+prints/
Great layout, I have something similar in my loft in 0 gauge called Strathinver. Thanks for sharing your ideas, by the way can you tell me where you sourced your polo shirt from.
I got it from here, I made the design and sent it to them www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144353453269?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4-y2_KeyQhW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9TwmpoRmQji&var=443668699936&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
