Agisoft Metashape - Cloud Processing
มุมมอง 4.6K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello, Here's a quick video on how to set up Cloud Processing in Agisoft Metashape. Keep in mind that this is in addition to Network Processing(this is where you would set up a computer or Virtual Machine to process for you). I have had an excellent experience with this so far. To enable cloud processing, for WINDOWS installations, you will need to visit this link: slproweb.com/products/Win32Op...
Do you think you can get same/better results with a DJI H30t?
You could get better results. This was a 640p resolution camera. The H30T has double that resolution - for a 4x pixel count. Let me know how it works!
Thank you for the help on getting Metashape into state plane. What is the best way to put in a ground scale factor?
How do you then "clone" the sand to fill in the holes?
Can you share the dataset or similar to this
The difference between the value ALTITUDE 181.56m, Altitude 595.69 Is this difference in altitude real, that is, the value 595.69 represents what?
Hi Do you know in Recap if you can extract the coordinates of the viewpoint? Or in other another world. The Scan station coordinates.
Kindly share the data for practice purposes
Is it possible to filter the photos with the markers on it so you can place markers easily?.
Thanks for this video. Realy simple but I could not find the wright method. Thanks again!
Is it just me or is the volume of this super low? I have all my system volumes and player volumes and speaker volumes maxed.
SkySurv LLC Which version of Agisoft are you using? I'm in 1.8.3 and I can't find my coordinate system which is California Zone 3? Can you please help?
Understood, I am looking to use my RTK drone which has 1cm accuracy to its full potential. Hope there is a way for agisoft to calculate this transformation correctly. Please let me know if there is a way.
I do have a script that will transform the EXIF images a given XY and Z amount. Please contact me at info@skysurv.us if you would to be a beta tester.
Hello, I've tried converting WGS84 to NAD83(CSRS) / UTM ZONE 10N (EPSG::3157), and the Easting ends up approximately 1.278m out. I've resorted to converting all my photo coordinates in excel and re importing reference manually. Does Anyone know easier way to do this?
There is an option to add a reference point, and match that point to several photos. Make sure it’s checked in the reference tab, then update and optimize. Let me know if this works!
It's been my understanding that filter by confidence only displays the results of filtering but doesn't remove the low confidence points.. To remove the low confidence points we need to select and delete them before proceeding with the workflow. Now I need to do more research...
That is an option as well. Although, I prefer to classify them as "ground"
@@SkySurvInc Thanks for the reply. I'll keep that in mind as I continue to learn more.
Is possible to obtain the coordinates of targets?
Thank you!
Hello, is there a way to georeference the cloud in the recap? did you do the georeferencing in the video?
Thanks for making this helpful video! 9:20 in the Optimize Camera Alignment box what are all those options. When I got to that point several were pre-selected but I don't know what they mean or if I should keep them selected. Is it important to clean up the sparse cloud with the gradual selection tool? Would we do that before adding markers or after? Thanks!
Great job.. this is a very helpful video for newcomers. Thank you for posting.
No problem. Thanks for watching!
hi and thanks for sharing. Tried step by step but whan I check (like in your video @time: 6:20) the coordinates remain as before, there is no change! the coordinates remain in relation with the poin of origin. Any idea what I am missing?!
A few thoughts. Make sure you "align" the scans first. You could be looking at only one scan. You must add at least 3 "survey points" in at least two scans in order to re-align to the system of the coordinates you are providing. Finally, look at the "report" - clipboard symbol at the bottom of the alignment page, and see if you have an error under the targets portion. If not, then you may have missed one of the steps above. Thanks for watching!
@@SkySurvInc Thanks for the quick reply!! Now I can get some new coordinates as a result but very different than I insert, example the Z valeu I inserted 480m and it shows 946m!! 1. The scans are aligned over 30 scans. 2. I have assigned 3 common survey points to 4 scans. Under the "Target Data" I see no ERROR but some data (RMS) are in RED outher in YELLOW and some in GREEN. the "RMS (noise)" range between 3.25mm to 29.58mm. Watched your tutorial several time quiet sure not missing anything. do you thinks has to dowit the RED (RMS noise) valeus? our I have to set a different coordinate system?
@@MarceneiroFDS Kelly here from SkySurv…. You could try local coordinates to see if it helps. Keep in mind that auto desk sauna all data is in meters. Sorry as it’s been a while since I’ve used recap. I am mostly an agisoft user as you might have gathered from my other videos. Thanks watching tho!
@@kellyness7915 I am using local coordinates and in meter, but the strange thing is the result values don't match, such as the "Z" valeu as I mentioned on my last comment!! Any Idea? Thanks!
This video is a few years old but figured i would try to ask anyways. Just learning metashape - coming from Pix4d and dronedeploy. Got a ways to go! But I am having issues with gcp accuracy in Metashape. We've processed the same map using 7 gcps in both dronedeploy and Metashape and in DD we are achieving .057' vs Metashape .332' . Undoubtedly there is something we are doing wrong and was hoping for some direction.
Did you update and optimize after you matched the GCPs?
@@kellyness7915 Hey Kelly - yes I did
Hello @MrDennisrsjr, I have been trying to make ends meet with Agisoft Metashape. I find that it takes ages to generate dense point Cloud. Are you still using Agisoft Metashape, or have you found another 3D application? If so, what are you using now?
Still using Metashape! It is by far the best we have found (for us). It affords a lot more flexibility and the outputs are great. Curious, what kind of machine are you running it on and what are the specs? @@octaviodasilva9780
What should I do height? I took photos with gps and photos have elipsoidal height and I have GCP's in jeoid height. Should I convert?
Thank you for your video and always is good to know new things on MEtashape. When we have a huge place to do that, is really hard, because we have to do using only one camera by time. Is there other way to do that? Thankx a lot friend
I would check out the "filter by confidence" option.
Very helpful! I have switched from Pix4D to Agisoft and this was awesome! Question, how to I export the "filtered dense cloud"? When I filtered by confidence, then export it out to bring into Lidar360, all the original points are still there. Thanks for any help and gain thank you for the very helpful videos on Agisoft.
I meant to add, I had alot of water which the filter helped clean up. I then just used the freeform selection tool to select all the rogue points and delete them. After that I exported thinking the file would be the "filtered and cleaned" version but it was not.
@@flyinlo1474 you have to assign a point class, like ground. Then you can export that class only. Alternatively you can filter the inverse(only the “bad” points) then delete them!
please more video
Thank you so much, man. You are a savior.
what version of the software you are using?
How to georeference?
Great video, il helps me a lot! If you have made a video to explain how to make contours lines and how export them, I’m really interrested.
Is it tolerable if I use handheld GPS garmin device to get the GCP?.
It’s not possible to improve the positioning with a handheld GPS
Is it ok if I don't have GCP data and just proceed with the next step?. I'm aware that my accuracy might be off few meters. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can skip that step.
Any idea Why the building edges somewhat not proper in tiff file after processing???
Liked the short video but I am stuck up in coordinate conversion. I added the photographs and the coordinates shown in default coordinate system in latitude and longitude are OK as per the ground but when i convert the coordinates in WGS84 UTM Zone 43 in India, the easting values are shown as northing and northing values are displayed as Easting I also imported the GCP which were collected in wgs84 system utm zone 43 by gps are displayed at it position however the location of photographs and the control points are falling far apart in the model kindly guide
I am a surveying student at UMaine, and would really appreciate it if you posted the data so I could practice. Seriously thank you for posting the content that you do, I want to get into photogrammetry and LiDAR and it helps!
Here you go! I will also add to the video description... drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pUvbJs-rGRalyYZocLSuEzOCv61O1Y8z?usp=sharing
@@SkySurvInc Thank you so much! I cant tell you how much I appreciate it.
After watching far too many videos on Metashape, this is the best I've found. Thank you, Kelly, for an extremely detailed, nuanced and real-world overview. Much different from others that are more superficial and do not appear to have the same real-world hands-on experience that you possess.

Hello. I don't bother you, in the case of your tree how do you handle it?

How would you fill this hole with a flat surface for instance ? Thanks again for the video
Does the conversion option allow me to pass from images in Local coordinates system to WGS84? And once done then by uploading some GCP's and setting markers, I should be capable of adjusting the orientation of the model in a Global RS right?
Hi brother, are you configure the cluster configuration for this software ?
Hello, I have not done this. I do know that you need a separate license for each node. Visit skysurv.us for purchase information.
Hello sir, I hope you are doing well. I would like to contact you, can you please provide me with your E-mail or another way to contact you. Thank you!
Thank you for this video, it is very helpful! I wondered if you have the time to upload a video with dense point cloud classification to extract ground points, eliminating vegetation and buildings. I haven't found any usefull video for this topic, and I think is very important to extract ground points to be able to generate DTM rather than DSM. Thank you!
Great video.
Do i need to select all photos with water in it or I only need to pick 1 photo.
Fantastic - just what i needed. Thanks very much
Glad it helped! As far as I know there isn't another workflow on TH-cam, or through Autodesk support outlining this process...
Great videos I'm new to this how do you get it to take the grid of photos do you need a flight path then are u putting ground points out with a gps kit cheers. I'm guessing you need a really expensive drone to do this
You don't need to spend all that much on a drone($500-$1500). But the GPS equipment will set you back significantly more($5000-10,000!!)
thanks , but what kind of output format r there ! can we use the model in REVIT or e57 format
Many outputs available under export - for point clouds, DEMs and TINs!
Very nice! Thought you guys were out of business with all that zombie apocalypse going on.
Hey now! Yep, alive and well in the zombie apocalypse! Thanks for checking in.
Please, could you give more info about the render ? Thanks
