It's not a good relationship and he is expressing it. Perhaps it's metaphorically in something he's experienced in real life but it's how he copes and shares

Your Mum really is spot on - this song really is for everyone. I really love this track too and Vessel's voice is sooo good! It also ties in beautifully with some of Sleep Token's other tracks, firstly "The Night Does not Belong To God" on "Sundowning" and the line on here, "The night belongs to you". I haven't found anything wrong with any of their songs. They really are A1, aren't they? I'm glad your Mum likes them too and I like her interpretations of the lyrics.
