Money has always been a barrier for me to Romplers, especially ones not in hardware. I did collect a few half 1U boxes for dirt cheap a while back but I have always lacked a Roland outside of my Fantom x8 I’ve never found a good comparison of the X8 to the rest, it sits in this spot of being just old enough to maybe have really good potential but I’ve no idea if it does LA Synthesis or anything sparkly. I think my hidden gem rompler is my Tenori-On when linked up via MIDI. It’s such a weird little thing and I love its sounds, it’s got some really gorgeous pads and if you absolutely drown it in reverb and start setting up complex polymer you start getting stuff I’ve never heard before. But Roland, please, stop with this Cloud thing, just let me buy them properly, not this Lifetime Key thing, please just make it easier. Please.
