Honestly i played alot of this. I get why some people were upset but honestly its a great great game for people to get into thr total war series. Its not too complex limited but fun

I prefer playing vanilla. I don't like all these supply, banditry, sanitary, etc. mechanics at all. And the AI ​​doesn't seem to be affected by all these restrictions. The AI ​​builds its settlements in a totally inefficient way in terms of public order and food without being weakened by it. They build armies of a size and quality that I couldn't afford if I were the AI. I don't want to deal with that sort of thing.

How would Thrones compare to other TTW titles such as Empire and Shogun, Im considering whether I should buy it as I already own Rome 2, Attila and Warhammer 3

honestly I love the scale of total games. I just got this game for $10 on steam, not bad, but it would have been nice to have historical battles or if they had a full map of Europe. a Keven russ or Charlemagne campaign would have really been cool to experience to flesh out this era.

The game is a bit too easy if you choose the right faction. If you have berzerkers, it's a insta win

The game was just dull, dull as hell with little character of it's own. It did what all the other Total War games did but worse. No agents, I get some people don't like them and claim they have no use but in my campaigns in other TW games they delayed massive armies and hampered them so I could pinch them out of existence so that's not even true; saying they're useless. I knew I was done with this game when I saw the enemy legit buy a general onto the map and the general spawned half strength and legit didn't recruit anyone and went to my village and capped my village with 6/12 soldiers. The AI will spawn 1 unit armies and spam them all over the map to cap your cities behind your armies in which you have to play cat and mouse to chase them and they didn't even INCLUDE FORCED MARCH so you could chase them down. God it pi**es me off even thinking about when I played it as I type this. By far the worst TW game IMO.

You captured the core arguments for the game very well. In my opinion, all the hate from the editorial staff and hardcore veteran scene in the early days is more then outdated and mostly unjustified. The soundtrack, fantastic UI designs, the strong historical feel, graphics, animations and narrative in the campaigns are all together a great game. It's true: There's a Total War on the market for EVERYONE. This is mine! ⚔

How can you be a officer if you dont know the map , you need experience to learn the map and how to play . Yes i am the leader of tactics in warthunder and World of tanks clan battles . I have no idea of how to lead in this game

The reload rate for this game is historically inaccurate. The average foot soldier was trained and expected to fire three aimed shots in a minute.

I've been playing Total War games since the first iteration of Shogun and this is one of my favourites in the series. To be fair I'm one of those who prefers the historic titles over fantasy. The thing I think most critics of TOB miss is that it's not supposed to be a full version like the ones they compare it to. The whole point of the saga games were that they were supposed to be compact titles for release between the main titles, so it shouldn't get knocked for not having the polish of a full title.

I feel they dropped the game too quickly to focus on warhammer. It's a shame because this game has so much potential, it's a really awesome game. It reminds me of shogun 2 but with the english. I just hope we get a war of the roses mod someday!

Honestly ToB and Atillas have the best battles imo, and I enjoy the battles more in total war rather than the campaign map
