Getting sober is free to the people getting rich off of rehabs they don't care about people there's a place called gcasa it eats up all the Medicaid money in the county Genesee County New York and people come from other counties and even the rooms might help but it's not Anonymous and why do people who are alcoholics hate drug addicts alcohol is a drug I just got tired drinking I've been in severe pain my whole screwed up life with a bone through my spine when I was born so opioids are nothing to me sometimes they can barely knock me out for surgery..... when I had 106 fever and osteomyelitis it just might have saved my life are the acetaminophen in the hydro if you took 11 of them I think I almost died not from those from the pain and the freaking fever I tried to save my leg from 1980 until 2019 and that was not a smart thing because I'm not suffering with infections anyway some people need pain meds like me and they still can't take them it's a double-edged sword I don't know what to do but I got to quit these f****** things it makes me mean hydros and I would say the best drug in the world is cannabis they don't want you to know that then they can't sell all the other drugs like Suboxone I know very many drug addicts most of them don't even like weed but if you're trying to get off the other drugs yes you would I know you would not have the side effects

Look, suboxone works for some people, and more power to them. Anything is better than full blown, out of control addiction. But this video is quite biased, seemingly made by someone trying to sell a suboxone treatment and presenting it in the mostly positive light possible. It most certainly can get you high. It tickles the same receptors your drug of choice was tickling. It has side effects similar to other opiates, perhaps less severe. If you ever want off it, you'll have to go through the withdrawal. It's highly stigmatized. You're not going to be treated well by medical personnel.

The FDA has not approved the use for chronic pain. Dealing with four crushed discs for over 30 years my doctor wants me to go on Suboxone. The methadone he's currently prescribing is working for me, but he's getting ready to retire and nobody else in the clinic will prescribe for me. Everything I've seen about suboxone and chronic pain tells me to stay away.

Went to JP for opiate recovery. The staff, specifically Chris the therapist, the girl who did the yoga, the guy who did fly fishing, and the cool young guy that took us on hikes with his dog, and Jon Levi with his horses, they changed my life. Suboxone saved my life. I was in that trap where, if I didn’t take pills (a bunch of them), I’d be in full withdrawals, puking, fever, aching, madness, and could not function. So I would take a bunch of pills to help go about the day. It was damn hamster wheel with no end. The same thing day after damn day. I was on two subs a day up there. I’m 8 months sober, down to 1 sub a day, and feeling great. Thankful to God and JP for giving me a normal and beautiful life back. I have 5 kids and a gorgeous wife that helped me instead of giving up on me. JP was the Avenue they used to help. I cannot thank you enough. Addiction wasn’t the plan. It just started by taking 2 pain pills instead of 1 because it gave me a little boost and made my skin feel good with a little itch after a recurring prescription of hydrocodone due to a back injury. It took about 2 years to get to the point of taking 20-30+ pills per day, wasting tens of thousands of dollars, and believing there was no way out due to the severity of withdrawals. That addiction lasted about 5 years. When my world blew up, my wife found out where all of that money was disappearing to, and gave me the ultimatum, “you can have your family and me, or you can have your pills all alone.” I said I would do whatever I had to do to keep my family, as they are the best part of me, and the greatest gift God has given me. So I go. It was about 30 hours from my last pain pills until I was at JP and given suboxone. Suboxone knocked those withdrawals totally out. I felt like a normal human being for the first time in almost 8 years. For the first time in almost a decade, I wasn’t obsessed over “do I have enough pills to get through this day, or enough for tomorrow when I have to do this or that.” I was just a normal human. That ability to just be in the moment and be able to work on how to move forward without the dang demonic terror of withdrawals makes every difference in the world. It literally saved my life. I write all of that to write this. If you are stuck and feel like you can’t get out. BUT you WANT it to be over. JourneyPure is the place to go, specifically “at the river” in Murfreesboro. The combination of great classes and therapists with the outdoor activities and movies, makes it such an enjoyable place to be. I say those that “WANT it to be over” because there are those who come because they HAVE to. It is pretty easy to tell the difference. Paid actors for an extremely expensive medication. I’ve been on it for 10 years was told that it would help with my chronic pain and foolishly I did it and it is impossible to get off of and I’ve experienced tooth. Decay tooth loss, swollen ankles. Don’t listen to these actorsor the big Pharma and the stock brokers were making billions and buying cars for doctors that will be their little pushers

the naloxone does not ever work - you can od on sub's - you can crush and snort it or shoot it without ANY SIDE EFFECT'S from naloxone - are doctors lying or ignorant - as it can be snorted to get high which is supposed to "activate" the naloxone - but it don't - you can crush and shoot it and the naloxone don't do anything - - the only thing it does treat is alcoholism as it causes terrible side effects with alcohol only - it's bullshit - period - question is why give an addict something 40x's stronger than morphine - to create their own addicts and shut everyone else down !?!?! - money has it's own language

I’ve been on suboxone for at least ten years.. and I’m getting to the point where I feel shitty most of the time. Anxiety is bad! My thoughts are mixed up like déjà vu … I get sweaty and weak!! I really curse the 1st pain pill I ever took

Can someone tell me why, as someone whos been on them for like 2yrs now... WHY.... WHY am I going into wds by the next MORNING?? this has been happening for a LONG time now. I was on 8 and 2 twice a day for a long time, i am now on 2 mg twice a day. Itake one as soon as I wake up, and one right before bed... why is it... that every time I wake up.. until about an hour after I take it... i am MISERABLE. I am clammy, my back is killing me and im nauseated. and contact with cold air sends me into a tremor fit. Nothing seems to change it. I feel like its my metabolism.. This shouldnt freaking happen. I was always told it should take a few days at LEAST before I started getting significantly sick. x_x The only thing that tends to help is if i freaking take my med, and go sit in my bathroom with the shower running on as hot as i can get it.. until the room warms up, and THEN i get in the shower.. Usually by the time i get out im ok. x_x

My first time it made me feel normal after an hour. Then after 2 hours I was compeltly nodded out felt like I snorted fentanyl. Depends on your tolerence now I'm used to it. But if your tolerence isn't Hugh enough, even as an addict, it can get u very, very high. Fall asleep behind the wheel kind if high. Buprenorphine has saved my life, but dont forget it's 30x stronger than morphine, it can get u high. 8mg suboxone= 240mg of morphine. It's good, bud it makes me mad when people act like it can't get you high. It took me like a week or 2, of slowly increasing my meds to get stable. But the first week or so I felt like I was getting high on opiates everyday. It was very easy to tell that I looked high. Now it just makes me feel completely normal. It's about getting to the right dose/ tolerence for u. But people do actually abuse suboxone quite a bit, it's becoming the new oxycontin in terms of availability. You could easily go to a clinic, and tell them your an addict when you've never touched opiates, and get prescribed soboxone. It should be easy for addicts to get life-saving meds, but it's too easy for people who don't need it or just want to sell it on the street to get it.

I tapered very very slowly and the WD was not even close to morphine or oxy WD just do it slow. After a year off I had to go back because of my pain issues and have no problem with being on bupe. Maybe people are WDing too fast. When I went off I took months and why not? I was in no hurry

It is not hard.....but needs a time a discipline, will......to cutting dosses slowly as possible,realy...realy slowely. On such a wey,you will awoide all bad symptoms of going from Subuxone ore Subutex....to nothing👍🍀🙂

Suboxone works if you have a good doctor, do some research and find a good Suboxone doctor. It will make all the difference!

If you go on suboxone treatment, take the lowest mg possible and take it for for the least amount of time possible. Suboxone withdrawal is by far the worst after taking it for long periods of time.

Anybody know how to get off the subs?

Recovering Heroin and Fentanyl addict here, been clean for over a year now thanks to Suboxone. It takes away all of my cravings, helps with my anxiety, and has made my depression disappear for the most part. I pay $100 once a month to see my doc, and am currently on 8mg per day. Suboxone saved my life.

I had a hardcore script drug problem for years and I’ve taken subs but honestly you just have to quit and suffer and deal with it. It took me easily over a year to not have mental cravings and to sleep right and even enjoy music again. But that was years ago and I don’t even think about it anymore. Not for a second. It was mentally and physically the toughest thing ever but it can be done cause I did it. Good luck y’all and F big pharma!!

I completed my 30 days and left with a much higher opiate tolerance than I arrived having. I was treated for opiate use disorder primarily instead of alcoholism. Left on SIXTEEN mg of Suboxone. The cost of it alone has kept my partner broke as he selflessly let me stay unemployed while he worked 2 jobs just so I could focus on my recovery. Knowing I had a year to realistically taper myself off of it made it impossible to feel I was clean in the first place. I had no desire to go score before treatment, but a liquor store every square mile or so has been the hardest thing to stay away from. I forget to take my Suboxone all of the time but I never forget when it is time to have a drink Which is slowly becoming whenever I feel the need to again. 10 in the morning, up all night with a rattling paper bag of airplane bottle sized schnapps. Never thought coming back to rehab would feel relieving to think about. A few of the women I was in with are back now too, so I suppose I shouldn't be too hard on myself.

Honestly I had am easier time coming off heroin and fetynal alone. If you want to change you will. I've been sick for 2 months now coming off subs and i tapered to .5 mgs a day for months. This feeling is much worse than dealing with the real crap for a few days which can be covered using other meds.

Broke both my legs in the shower. Got hooked. I found out later that I was taking Very, very few opioids COMPARED. I might have been able to cold Turkey. It’s hellish. But suboxone Is used for depression in Europe. In America , big Pharma OWNS every GD state legislature. They want people depressed and making crime, etc. screw them. Last year, nine of their kids died. That’s that Family Values BS they talk about but don’t practice. Anyway , I have not had a single bout of depression , which causes me to streak open -air putt putt facilities. Not indoor. Cures depression in Europe. They’d rather have homes broken into in the Bible Belt

After 16 years of taking Percocet for chronic pain my pain specialist tapered me down from 6 tablets a day to 4 to 3 and now she stopped prescribing Percocet as of yesterday and put me on Suboxone 8mg/2mg. I have been taking 2 Percocet per day for the last week and will take my final tablet tomorrow. My pain doctor said that I need to start the “induction” after 24 hours after my last Percocet dose with 1/2 a Suboxone under the tongue at first, and go to 1 full film after that. I hope this works for me because the withdrawal in between doses of Percocet is brutal for me.
