Nice fish , how big do they get to these days in the ribble,, i was in the Warrington stretch and had a few up to 2lb 5oz over a few seasons, they could be difficult to locate, ive herd of a 2lb 10 from the wood cutters stretch in early 2000nds, . Not fished further up much . Nice to see theres a few about lovely fish to catch.

Never fished for Grayling but looks like it would be a lot of fun on light tackle

Is the Grayling a course, or game fish ? I have eaten them in Sweden and wonder , in theory if they might be eaten here . Also can they be taken in winter , if they are big enough ?

Nice video, I've fished around Llangollen on the Dee for the past 20 years and find it a very fickle river, I've had blue ribbon days and also many blank days . On the blue ribbon days I feel I've been lucky and the blank ones I've felt I don't know what I'm doing. It's the challenge of not knowing which way the next day will go that makes me keep going back. P.S. also love the Dee up near Bala

Hi Andrew, as I've said before I love your chanel. Question for you, hopefully I've got this right. Dry fly fishing: from the hook back, fullers earth say back to surgeons knot, then Red silicone all the way back to fly line including 4-5 yards of fly line. Wet fly fishing: on a floating line, fullers earth on tippet and all tapered leader. Thanks for all you do and keep them coming.👍

Loch bunachton essich inverness the front is trout the back and road bottom isinmt onened by the farm the whole Loch is full of pike and perch its been tried many times most fish die and the pike are up to 30jb we fish it for free the rock round the back and reeds are OK for pike perch their is a road at back leads to past dulichity if the farmer dont allow you axcess its a right of way just not been used often the farm house only o2nes the front feilds so just walk down the path when you get to tj3 bottom that's were his land stops then fish free now they have put rainbows init again for the 2pth time just throw them back brown trout you can keep pike perch ells you can throw them back as sport fish its inverness kids Loch wild pike perch and native fish trout so you can fish any wild Loch for native species in Scotland for free .as, land owner if you going to stop to fish for native species if he says no then go in river Loch and fish away the right to roame but not the right to stop for long farm animals so yea if its Loch Bunachton enjoy and its free fishing at bottom and back and top side farm house only owned feilds and magic mushrooms

I am planning on taking my son up to Llangollen on Friday afternoon fly fishing for 1st, he is the fisherman, me not. Is there beat you would recommend, ideally from the bank or very shallow wading in wellies for him. He will be fishing for trout. Thanks

You not fishing the river wye near Rumney. As I lived in New Tradegan 25 years ago, court plenty of 2lb+ Grayling Chub up to 5lb . If you can get thow all of the trout 😅

did you put squirmy on point ? also is it at all possible to show your spots on a map? hopeing to get on the top part of dee by forestry carpark next week, have you fished this and any suggestions would be great. cheers

Hiya Andrew, great informative video,, I have just joined Maelor/llangollen angling with the £88 yearly membership…. Does that now allow me access to fish?? Or do I have to now book and pay for day tickets when I want to fish?? Website for club is a little confusing 🤷‍♂️🙈 thanks in anticipation,,, Mark ( fished with my father on the available fly only beats about 20years ago…..
