with the prawns I prefer a more hop to wind ratio, just trying to hop it before it hits the bottom and snags, most common for me is a 3/4 jig head but I will go up in weight if the swell is big, anything from a 6'0 and up. cheers for the comment.yewwww

@ never go to bottom just get snagged mulloway are active feeders when they hunt, I just sink it to where I think its close to bottom then I like to hop it pretty radical at the start to get fish attention, then retive with a more double hop wind retrieve.

@ that was my second run with it mate,so far a fish each time and that was the best fish I had hooked.

I know it was closer to the what I was after, my fault as I rushed it with the swell, just got some new gar, fingers crossed.

yeah man totally, with the swell it was up and all intense, GoPro do not show how crazy it was, why I didn't want to stay down there long.

honey holes are everywhere my friend just got be at them at the right time..

Not on the beach iam still working that side out as I really wanna figure that,only thing I have learnt is that you may need a shallow sand bank with plenty of wash and a deeper gutter either side

Not a massive bait caster, man, I do like a quick retrieve if chasing jacks with a good drag. I would not classify myself as the best for this answer,but getting one that can fine-tune each lure is a good idea for chopping and changing and not as many birds' nests.

So the jig head was a 6’0 size and the treble was around a 3 or 4 for about a middle size hard body lure, I just used a single link of 80lb braid as I didn’t think many fish would snap it,but you never know.
