Why did you stop making vids? Hope you are well !
That’s not big that is fucking enormous
Interesting.....I've seen light gauge fine stainless ⛓ chain used and just heat shrink to stiffen it ...much easier and just as strong, d shackled behind the lure head and on the hook .
What size heat shrink tubing do you use on these and also on the twisted cable sets?
bro thinks he's henry chee
Wow... thats true artwork at its finest!!
Can you go a sea witch please
Can you guys maybe send me a link or something, i cant find it online
My homie works with the old man who’s makes these lures on Big island
Till you lose it
Very beautiful, but is it a popper?
It is like 5 feet long
This is a masterpiece. The most beautiful lures I’ve ever seen by far. Just perfection. Wow
Thanks, where do you get the vinyl sheets? I can’t find them anywhere from Canada
Where do you get the vinyl sheets?
What is that diff injure action between vinyl or standard rubber type skirts
Where can you get this hooks
Is the hook legal hanging out past the skirt? Awesome vids bro❤
Thank you! Yes as long as the eye of the hook is inside the skirt the Hookset is igfa legal
What heat shrink do you use for lures?
To each his own, I tend to skirt the notch closest to the lure head then finish the bottom skirt last.
promo sm 😚
Please advise where can i bu6 the lure head or do u make them yourself? Any advice on the type of resins you used for the lure head?
Horrible .. nothing to do have money .. let’s go a killer marine life for the sake of killing so you can feel good. You need meds horrible human being.
No fish was harmed. It was safely released hook removed and everything. Swam off healthy.

Beautiful, fr
Fuck are you trying to catch
Taken a licking but keeps on ticking.
Stunner of a lure right there.
Hey do you know of any lure heads that are weighted to swim with a back up and a belly down or are all the heads just uniform weight all the way around? Great video! I’m primarily a bait fisherman but trying to up my trolling game. All we troll up here are squid spreader bars. I would really like to start running some single lures. I want to make them look realistic with a dark back and a light belly. But if they don’t run upright it doesn’t seem like a good idea to colour the belly white and the top darker because the lure could just turn on its side and not look right in the water. Is there such a thing as trolling lure heads that are weighted to always ride belly down? Th
For bullets and jets the only lure that is keel weighted is the tanigawa 2-hole Jet and the 12” ahi bomb they will run upright all the time and they’re pretty heavy as well for the size of them. Great for tuna! But other lure shapes like a plunger Koya and Tantrum make really well keel weighted lures. Text me if you have any other questions! +19542584051
JUST A SUPER CHANNEL,, FANTASTIC EXPLANATION,,,,, 🎉.. THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND PASSION THAT YOU BRING TO THOUSANDS OF US,,, WELL DONE 👍
Hi Henry i got a question what kind of scissors do you use the stuff is so hard to cut.
Hey man! So these are the three tools I use Momoi stainless steel mono cutters - for chafe tube, mono, heat shrink, wax floss Felco cable cutters- all sizes of cable Good quality art scissors- flashabou; flashabou can be hard to trim evenly but a good pair of art scissors that are designed to cut through thicker paper like art card paper works the best. The trick is also to bunch the flashabou together tight and cut with the deeper part of the scissors. I’ll make a short video of the easiest way I’ve found to trim flashabou evenly.
@@wireman_custom_lures Thank you Henry for the tips I just flashabou'd a malolo and couldn't get it trimmed evenly. I'll try-out to bunch it up and cut it. I'll let you know if it worked out. Regards Eddie
@@edhuurdeman4086 no problem dude! If there any videos you would like me to do whether it’s rigging specific lures, or info about specific lures or lure makers, spreads I use etc let me know, I wanna make videos that useful for everyone, from guys who are just starting out offshore fishing and the super experienced guys who are looking for something different to try
@@wireman_custom_lures Hi Henry thanks again buching up worked out pretty good. And what kind of lures do you fish in ur spread? And what would you pull with moderate to rough conditions? Regards Eddie
@@edhuurdeman4086 so depending on what size lures you’re running and what class tackle as well, if I’m talking just strictly about what lure shape I like using for each position no matter what size tackle, Shotgun: jetted bullet with flashabou Long rigger: short plunger style lure like the Koya 861 shape or marlin magic ruckus or another jetted bullet. Short rigger: A hard head shape or a well keel weighted tube or a longer plunger shape Long corner: scoop faced plunger like one of the black Bart breakfast shapes or traditional plunger shape like a Koya poi dog or a tantrum bandit Short corner: another plunger your personal favorite
It looks good but when you get a wahoo or cuda bite an need to replace you skirt its going to take some time while a normal skirt take 2 min
Very good tutorial, have you only use single hook rigs? I've run Schneider lurs with double hook sets. trailing hook down forward hook 90 degrees to the side. Opinion?
Yes I’ve always run single hooksets. On all keel weighted lures I run the hooks facing down and non keel weighted lures, including bullets, hard heads, cupped face lures with the hook facing up with some exceptions like Niiyama lures I’ll run the hook point down as well since they’re so well keel weighted. It’s whatever works for you man. That style of hookset works well for a lot of people. For me single hooksets have the best hook up ratio especially with a fully stiff hookset. It’s worth a try if you’re looking to use a new hookset style.
@@wireman_custom_lures I have been thinking of going back to single hooks, due to the fact that some of the bigger wahoo have twisted the hook closer to the head and lost the fish.
@@jeffreyvanderklip6769 are you heat shrinking the full hookset? Another benefit to a single hookset with full heat shrink is that the hook doesn’t move around and if a fish comes up and whacks the lure the hook doesn’t swing around and get stuck around the leader or the lure. Before when I used to heat shrink just the crimp and hook I’ve had many occasions where fish whacks the lure doesn’t try and eat the first time and the hook gets wrapped around the leader in front of the lure and then no hook up.
@@wireman_custom_lures yup, that has happened to me also. I used colored electrical tape. You have to realizes I'm old school (74) lol and I've started to rethink some stuff. I'll dig up a stainless-steel bar and send you a pic on how I was taught. I keeps the hooks 90 degrees to each other. However, a big marlin can roll both hooks and never hook up.
Fishing for sharks are we?
Haha grander mako would definitely eat it. But if you’re after a grander or world record size marlin in Hawaii, Cape Verde, Madeira or the gbr this is definitely the teaser to use.
Splendid work! Congratulations. 👏
Now that lure would definately slow a boat down as soon as its dropped over the side. Might be safer pulling it off the boats anchor winch.
Beautiful job on the vinyl skirts on every single head
Thanks man! Skirting is the one thing I make sure is perfect every time with any lure. If you have a badly skirted lure it ain’t gonna run right 😂
Seen bad vinyl skirting make some lures run terribly.
How happy is this fisherman.
Black over Green for me. Interesting you like the hook point rigged facing down.
The strawberry Pearl looking good 😉
That purple one looks sick!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Only other skirted lure head Ive ever seen was brought back from Hawaii and given to me 25 plus years ago. Ugliest and heaviest lure head ever. Has the name GOTCHA inside the head. Has a massive lip cast into it. Always wanted to skirt it and see how ot performs. Pretty sure it would slow the boat down.
I’ve trolled this aku prototype one time and it swims great! I wasn’t hopeful before I threw it out on the shotgun but man swims perfectly upright and has a great wiggle action to it!
I bet it swims 100% perfectly just by the look of it and of course due to the skill of the maker. Always wondered why there arnt more bibbed skirted lures. Bibbed with jets stabilizing wings or even an internal rattle will be next.
@@matui6983 I think it’s because if you get an angry blue or black on it and then it’s whacking the crap out of the lure the lip will probably break off at some point and then the lure is done. If you’re wanting a lure to get down a little deeper without a diving lip, that’s 9”/10”, the Koya 9+ Jet and Koya clean sweep Jet are great but for niiyamas I’m pretty sure the 9” flying fish and 9” mahi are heavier than the 9” aku and they get destroyed!
100% with you on the lio getting broken. Back in the 90's I used to make a few heads to play around with. Made a bullet head that was about about 2 1/2inches od with a lot of weight in behind the mirrored insert. Put an acrylic bib into it that slid in from the side so it could be replaced if lost or broken. Our NZ Stripes loved to chase it and walloped the crap out of it but never managed to eat it so it got towed as a teaser. Was all good til Big Momma Blue came along and took off with it in one massive run. Never made another.
