Yes I prefer them. I have seen many times big marlin whack a lure with a semi stiff rig and the hook set bends and gets wrapped around the leader in front of the lure result in losing the fish.
@@wireman_custom_lurescopy. Thanks for the reply brother. I noticed on your site that your wahoo hook sets don’t have the shrink tube running the full length of the hook set. I’m targeting wahoo on the west coast and the keys with hand lines. Boats i work on are usually transiting around 10-12 knots and don’t stop when we hook up with our hand lines. Learned a lot from your videos, appreciate the content.
@@toaster816 The website is temporarily closed for a big update but for our wahoo hooksets now I do full heat shrink as well with a different color heat shrink that fits over ring eye hooks.
Very good!!!!!
Hi, do you have a source for the blue heat shrink tubing? Nicely done video. Very clear and precise.
Yes reach out to us via Instagram @wireman_custom_lures or give us a call 954-258-4051
What size heat shrink tubing do you use on these and also on the twisted cable sets?
Is a stiff hook set better one that flexes/swims with the skirt?
