    i am a Rangers man, john Thomson should Never be forgotten, the old firm men should start a fund to build a statue for this proud Celt, a scot and a protestant, his funeral said it all, forget your bigotry, , this man was above all that, he was a prince of goalies, he gave his all for the famous Glasgow Celtic, lest we forget, i will pledge a £100 though Celtic park, should this fund be started, jim little

    They're building a wall A wall between friends A wall that justifies Any means for their ends A wall between Semites Rich and poor Brothers and sisters From not so long before Many feet thick And twenty feet high No one can look through it And into the eye Of a person you might know To whom you might confide Now just a stranger On the other side They're building a wall Between water and land So we can eat fruit And they can eat sand A wall to make sure That our orchards will grow And our kids can get fat And not need to know Of the cities in ruins And the children in fear That your fathers and brothers In tanks might be near A wall to keep quiet That which you fear most So you don't have to listen To your grandfather's ghost They're building a wall Between future and past A wall to keep separate The chambers of gas From bulldozers, gunships And the tears of a child Dignity, love And all honor defiled To remove reality From your facts on the ground A wall to keep distant The terrible sound Of the houses that crumble And the children that die A wall to keep separate The truth from the lie They're building a wall And at such a cost Land, money and safety And all the lives lost A wall made of brick But bricks can be broken When the people of Zion Have finally awoken And said no more walls No more refugees No more keeping people Upon their knees And then the history books Will someday recall Before apartheid was ended They were building a wall

    I very nearly lost my life in the Gallowgate in Glasgow. It’s only due to the immense kindness of Glaswegian strangers that I survived. People I didn’t know came to my aid, told me to ‘hang in there, helps on the way’. I’d have died if it wasn’t for their intervention. I wasn’t easy to find I was lying in long grass behind a disused shop, plunged and bleeding out quickly. I never got to thank the fine folk that helped me that day. The doctor said that if they hadn’t stemmed the bleeding with pressure and t shirts and a towel and quickly called an ambulance that I would certainly have died. I’m thanking each one of you now. You didn’t know me, you had no reason to help me, but you did. Like they say ‘Glasgow is no mean city’ which means it’s not average.

      Jesus, what a horror that must have been for you :( what happened exactly, if I may ask? Were you attacked or was it an accident?

    • @jackduncan4228
      @jackduncan4228 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lisa W i was attacked by three guys, in what police believe to be a case of mistaken identity. I was hit with a bike chain, a chair leg and stabbed. I had a punctured lung and a stab wound deep in my upper thigh. My chest was deeply lacerated with the bike chain. I couldn’t really scream or anything because of my punctured lung. I was found by a young woman walking her dog.

      @@jackduncan4228 jesus christ! That's awful. Some people are animals! At least you also encountered some decent people there. I just hope you recovered fully...

    • @jackduncan4228
      @jackduncan4228 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lisa W yes i recovered fully. For a while I was very bitter about the men who attacked me. My grandmother helped me to see it a different way, all of the people I didn’t even know who came to my aid. That’s the Glasgow I love, that’s the humanity I choose to cling to.
