    I wonder where Edey would have fit in Atlanta; me, too, I was wondering whether Atlanta picked Risacher based solely on need. Would Atlanta have traded a big away for a draft pick, or for help on the wings, had they picked Edey? Because the NBA prioritizes short-term needs more than it used to (but not as much as the NFL, where needs carry the draft day), at least in the lottery, one's team BPA is another's "do not want". In Michael Jordan's era, or even in early-mid-2000s, he might have gone #1. Maybe he would have been picked #1 if a big-starved team won the lottery...

    All of these things except for shooting 60% from 3 on a small sample are exactly what people who actually watched him at Purdue saw coming. Once his three pt percent goes under 40% it makes almost no sense for him to shoot them as he’s so much more efficient down low. Frankly he’s doing less than I expected, but mostly that’s due to minutes and fouls. He’s perfectly capable of playing 30 minutes and using up all his fouls, problem is grizzlies are deep and play everyone 15-25 mins.

    • @Chip-dg7wy
      @Chip-dg7wy 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ it’s a problem for accumulation of stats, not a problem for the grizzlies. ROY winners are usually on crap teams and accumulate a lot more stats. With Edey you have to consider the minutes.

    • @karlnystedt3111
      @karlnystedt3111 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It can be a problem for some players' development,some things need to be forged in the fire of heavy game minutes. For instance most "bigs" don't learn the value of positioning and how to be in the right place at the right time until they get older and start to lose half a step,and changing directions isn't as it was when you were Zack Edey's age.

    I like how he s been playing even in a team with lot of injuries and starting with another rookie like jw. There is only improvement in the path. I think something he must definetly improve is in the 2 hands dunk under the rim, many players has stolen the ball from him when he was already in the air. Yeah, you can't win nowadays, relying on freshmen, eventually, they will see a experienced team.That's going to take one of them out of the equation and the game's over. They held jackson 1 point, that's what shows how good of a team this Kentucky team is. We will never know who the best player is, and neither will the other teams. I knew this team was going to have a very specific factor that none of the other kentucky teams in the last fifteen years really had and that's fighting to the very end. It reminds me of when tubby smith was the coach, he made adjustments, and we always knew that we were going to play better the second half than he did the first half, I can't even count the amount of games that calipari lost in the last five minutes of the game. That boys only 17 you can’t expect a kid to play that many minutes and ride him the end of the game like that. I guess they wanted to see what he could do…but their coach never sounds have put him in that position, just set him up for failure at the end, even if he did get a big bucket or two. Furthermore I don’t understand who’s telling these kids it’s a good idea to reclassify or move up a grade. In education the older students in their class have significant advantages over the younger ones in the same class that follows them THROUGHOUT LIFE, and that was done by a scientific study that showed that. So I don’t know. Greedy people must get in their ear and think “I can market this NOW” and it’s a sad thing to see. Be a kid. Grow. Develop. Keep working hard and the good things will finally get there.

    Really interested to see what our 3 point shooting looks like with multiple options.

    If wvu finishes as a tournament team after enduring the big 12 schedule they would earn program of the year honors. The big 12 schedule is brutal. Great analysis....

    Sincere will quickly become a fan favorite. Even two seasons ago at Illinois he was impactful and really turned the tide of games defensively. He plays with an intensity that is palpable. And having an entire red shirt year working with the strength and conditioning coach at Illinois, who I'd say is one of the better S&C coaches in the country, it will be nice to see his progression. Very twitchy athlete, shaky shooting but wasn't a complete reliability or broken mechanics. If he can be a true 3 and D guy his value will be amazing
