I honestly don't knw why they reimagine such classics, just bring it back and be Faithful I mean it's Not hard! Just do like what was done for the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I remember watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine, and when I saw him as Captain Keogh of the USS Odyssey, I got up, pointed to the TV and I said " Captain Skeletor". It was also cool because DS9 had both the live action Skeletor (Frank Langella) and also the animated Skeletor (Allen)

I always interpreted Frank's Skeletor as being the same one just after their conflict had gone on so long that something had twisted. The comedic side was gone after so many ego crushing defeats at He Man's hands. Which also explains the references to their "lifelong battle", destiny and his general impatience compared to the show.

No disrespect to Alan Oppenheimer, but Frank Langella was perfect as Skeletor. He gave a Shakespeare kind of performance as Skeletor. A comical Skeletor like in the animated series would not have worked in the live action He-Man movie, he would not have been a believable threat if he was goofy. Frank Langella took a role that should have been a flop and turned it into something great.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, could do Mumm-Ra the way the late Earl Hammond could do Mumm-Ra. He voiced Mumm-Ra like nobody's business.

You can here a little bit of Wolverine in his normal voice. When he does Wolverine he does not have his Irish accent for the most part. When you says small then you. The word you has a hint of Irish in it.

Sour grapes. Frank was great as Skeletor ! The cartoon Skeletor was never good and always felt ridiculous.

I respect the fact that John Erwin wants to live a quiet and peaceful life. He did come back to voice He-Man for a brief cameo in an episode of Family Guy, which was awesome, but if Mr. Erwin wants to have his privacy, I understand. At the very least, it shows how he doesn't care about making appearances and being in the limelight, and he's okay with the fact that he's inspired many people over the decades as He-Man.
