I agree. The problem with “the court of public opinion” is that it’s driven off of clicks, the news cycle, and social media trends. A celebrity being accused of something is a huge story that goes viral and pretty much everyone that knows who that person is hears the news and also people who have no clue who that person is learn who they are through the viral news of their alleged behavior. Even if the claim is proven false, there is hardly ever a viral story about someone being proved innocent. People will continue to assume the worst. I've remember this in many cases outside of pop culture. They want to be right and will continue this narrative to be right! When you read on any social media platform, you'll see only hatred and not rational. I've seen people try to debunk other things, but you'll be insulted. I can already promise you, when a famous person is accused of something but they are liked. People will ignore it, for example, Megan. Armie was never liked by other people, so It was easier for others to see his downfall. I still haven't seen the media talk about his side of the story. He did interviews with others, and the media hasn't talked about it. It's all about sensation. They know innocence doesn't create profit!

I assume you didn't watch the whole video to understand his side of the story. You shouldn't assume that a rich person has done the bad act due to him having money to stop it. His charges got dropped after investigation. He posted on his instagram account to show his innocence. He will show his innocence on possibly other shows. PR doesn't work with throwing money. When people start to dislike you, they will keep disliking you and will avoid having an open mind. You should see his side and may change your opinion. You can find someone's preference disturbing, which is fine. It's not fine if you allege someone of a huge crime like that. He's innocent.

People are only satisfied with believing that a person is bad. So people will never give him the benefit of the doubt. In the future, he might show more of his side by going on different shows. He has remained calling himself innocent but took accountability for cheating and doing the girls wrong. That is bad but redeemable. He is a human, but he isn't a criminal. I'll guess we will find out how his career will go in a few years.

I honestly think that It wasn't that bad. Slasher was asked if she was 17, but Slasher said that the age shouldn't matter. Slasher also said that we shouldn't need to see the messages and that we should still condemn him. I think that there could've been lockerroom jokes involved during the conversation with the girl. We know her gender. Why not the age? It's obvious that Twitch doesn't like him and is trying to ruin his name. It's their word against him, and I think that he knew that he made a mistake. So he's trying to forget the past, but in my opinion, he should try to ask for the messages to be leaked. Innocent until guilty and even when people admit. It never means that they are guilty. Our culture makes people idolise these images, not people. They get attached to these shells of real-life people, they defend them, and they think they know them so well. Not to mention the whole mess with parasocial relationships. She has always shown her true colours, but her fans keep defending her. I remember the time when she licked the donuts, and people said that she made a mistake. We all know that she would have never apologised if she didn't get caught. Imagine the person eating the donut. People get angry about kids licking ice creams and putting them back in. Why did people not have the same thinking about Ariana. Her fans have created an image of her and continue to defend her despite all her wrongdoings.

The church he’s joined is incredibly problematic for a start but it’s the pious, preachy attitude that comes with some religious people. In Christianity gay acts are not allowed, and that doesn't mean that Pratt dislikes gay people. Christians believe in hating the sin and loving the sinner. I remember that Luca Guadagnino in 2022 said that he would ask Armie to be in the sequal despite the accusations at the time. The director is still on good terms with Armie. When the timing is right, I believe they will start filming. It's sad how accusations can ruin someone's career so easily. It could've all been avoided if the industry had waited until he's proven guilty. As you can see after many years, he has been proven innocent. Sadly, not by the public eye. I'm still hopeful that Armie will get all his roles back and thrive like he used to.

@@goldenmule It's a difficult thing to decide, but I would start with the series and then read the novel. I skipped a few parts that involved other characters in the novel, because the series really did a great job, but the scenes between Wei WuXian and Lan Zhan are a little different, you can fill in the blanks the series left because of the censorship. And the best thing is that you have faces for your imagination.

I feel so bad for John. They had such a cute relationship in part one, and they threw it away for nothing. Why not make a new character to be inclusive instead of using characters that we adore.

The showrunner absolutely read the books, including Francesca's story in "When He Was Wicked." The showrunner absolutely knew book fans in particular would be furious about the genderswap. The showrunner absolutely understood the effect and impact of showing Francesca's underwhelming reaction to her wedding kiss and her star struck reaction to meeting Michaela. In the novel Francesca has two great loves. The Bridgerton Netflix series is saying John and Francesca have an easy going platonic love in their romantic relationship, but the real love is or will be between Francesca and Michaela. They want new fans to ooh and ah Francesca and Michaela and wipe out any remembrance of the hetero relationship between Francesca and John. If the showrunners cared about that relationship, they would not have included Francesca's odd reaction on her wedding day. They want the girly girl ultra feminine Francesca to always have been gay or queer. That's what they want.
