Glad you found this helpful! I would caution you about switching somebody from Windows to Mac unless *they* want to make that move for some reason. Despite the marketing on both sides of the fence one is not better than the other. That's just a fact. (Other than Apple being a walled garden and Windows being open and flexible.) I've used both extensively, and there is no difference they're just tools and the skill and expertise comes from the person using them. That said, when somebody is used to working on one side or the other, there's generally no benefit to making them go through the process of having to relearn all of their skills and repurchase all of their software. Also putting Windows onto a Mac defeats the purpose of having a Mac, and Parallels does not work for all applications. In a lot of cases it causes more trouble than help. Just something to think about.

Really the only problem with the device is people expecting it to be something that it's not, which is why I try really hard to be very very clear about what it strengths are. If you're buying it for the right reasons, it can be a complete game changer, which it sounds like you've already figured out. 👍

Hi, thanks for checking out the video! The reason I wouldn't talk about a tool like that in this video is because it doesn't meet the need - specifically, it is not a fully featured note taking tool. It only does a very small part, and the some of tools mentioned here do that and so much more.

@@YourTechCoach Yes, I agree it's not entirely a note-taking tool, but from my experience, there isn't an adequate alternative, and I think it's underrated. It's incredibly useful for almost anyone doing research and collaborating with a team. Plus, the integration with Google Docs, TH-cam, Kindle, and social media is amazing for me. Just read for myself the changes coming now and 2025. Selling my personal information to be weaponized against me is BS. I'm going to check to see if I have any outstanding invoices, then I'm done with paypal.

Checked and data in the process of being deleted while they close my account. Hands are washed.

@@melmen2379 There are several paypal like companies I believe. I just used them because one click payment was nice, until it wasn't. It was also a huge pain to cancel the account. I had to, line by line, cancel each recurring payment(one for me) and also each autopay(I had 4 autopays for the same company...). They don't make it easy, but you get to change your answer as to why you're cancelling and deleting, and each time mine got a little more angrier.

It depends on how much you "need" PayPal. You do have the option of turning the data sharing off. Here’s how: 1) Open PayPal: Log in through either the app or website. 2) Go to Settings: If you’re using the app, tap on your profile icon at the top right. On the website, you’ll find the gear icon in the upper-right corner. 3) Find Data & Privacy: Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section. 4) Manage Shared Info: Look for the Personalized Shopping option under Manage Shared Info. 5) Toggle It Off: Once you find the toggle switch, turn it off to stop PayPal from sharing your data.

You may still see the option to switch back for a while, but I'm hearing that people are seeing that go away more and more. The new one works just fine, it's just a change that will take some getting used to.

@@YourTechCoach No it doesn't work just fine. All of the settings and brightness options are absolutely horrible. If I upload an imagine, it's automatically darkened and looks less vibrant. The old filters like "Festive" brought images to life and helped make thumbnails pop, the new filters look absolutely awful and I guarantee nobody with a successful channel would EVER touch any of them. Bring back the option for legacy editor with actual good features again half the junk on current canva doesn't even work properly like the AI and other apps. WASTE OF MONEY (no disrespect to you of course you seem very nice, just to canva as a (terrible) product)

I hear your frustionation - 100%! The best way to let Canva know about your issues would be to contact them directly thru their support channels, and to provide specific examples and details. Honestly, that type of feedback is SUPER important and can help future improvements! Also, there are tools and settings that can help right in Canva, but also yes, many filters and other shortcuts have gone away or been changed. There are a couple fo main reasons for that - the agreeement between Canva and the 3rd party company that provided the filter has expired, the company chose to removed it, the company got bought out/shut down, etc. With all of that said, if you find that Canva no longer meets your particular needs, there are other options out there! Heck, maybe I'll do a future show on that!👍

Yep, more and more mobile apps are having to make this decision because the app stores are demanding too big a cut. Sad, but at least there are options (like buying from via a browser).

That's what I thought but she said you can still order books direct from your kindle. She did say you can order by using a search engine as well and go into Amazon. However that does not work for me. I get debited but the book is not on my Kindle. They do refund you though if you tell them it didn't work. I'll just stick to ordering direct from from my kindle I think. I feel I have been robbed having bought a kindle but at least the You Tec lady has given me an answer.

So first, Google Books are not always PDFs - there are several different file formats used. And no, in general you cannot transfer books from one Google account to another.

Yes, Google Books can be downloaded to your computer as long as the publisher hasn't restricted access. Most are available as EPUB and/or PDF format, which can be loaded on to any device that works with those formats. You can also read them right from the Google Play store. Hope that helps!

If someone has published a PDF, or allows exporting to PDF, then you may be able to transfer it if they have giving you that permission level. Otherwise, in general you cannot transfer content from Google to Apple or vise versa.
