can you help me, when i add beard and eyebrows to character in cc4 when i transfer to maya to create control with advanced skeleton the eyebrow and beard control doesn't work, it's not attached directly to body, mouth moves but beard doesn't move with it.plss
When I import the fbx file back to Maya the skeleton remains t-posed, but the model stays a-posed and with rotated 90 degrees onto the ground, why?
Great vid! Would that be possible for the head? Like for making squash and stretch? Been trying to do that but no success
Great tips! Appreciate!
can u please share the rig
Nice tips, thanks
I love it great job 😍
Thank you so much!
This is awesome it would be awesome to see PoP WW in this style great job awesome work.❤
Thank you so much! I'm actually currently working on a PoP short film, mainly based in the Sands of Time story. So keep an eye out on this channel for that! But thank you again for the kind words!

Great video! 👍🏼
Thank you!
Nice! Thank you for this☺️
No problem!
Just found you and its a blessing. Great videos Michael!
Ah thank you for the kind words! Glad you're enjoying the videos!
How did you add the 3D effects to this animation after outputting it in Maya?
That was all done in Unreal Engine! I exported the animation and put it into an environment from the Marketplace
Hello I love iclone8 I love to learn more
Really awesome to watch your process from beginning to end!
Ah thanks!
Did you used HumanIk to transfer animation to the rig?
I didn't use HumanIK, I used Advanced Skeleton. I just posted a video on this actually!
@@AnimationSimplified thank you definitely gonna check it out.
@@AnimationSimplified and thanks for making that video i did comment on one of your video to ask for it and you did listen to that thank you
This was awesome! I do have a question about your mocap. How did you get the mocap onto an ik rig? Was it a special script or is it something special with the rig or did you use empties to track everything. It looks like a plugin of some kind
Hey! So I used Advanced Skeleton to attach the mocap. I actually just posted a video going through my process!
Thanks for another awesome CC4/AS tutorial. Such a great time saver and now with bendy bones!
@@The3Dsmash you’re welcome! So glad you’re digging them all!
I didn't know Advanced Skeleton had an automatic CC4 set up like this. So glad I found this video. This will save me so many extra steps to rig my custom characters. Thank you so much!
@@The3Dsmash no problem! They only recently added it, it’s such a great addition!
What a great tool for getting overlap automatically! 💪
Have you used cascaduer yet? It’s a stand alone animation program that works well with all the major programs!
Waiting
Thanks for waiting!
Tôi đã làm theo video nhưng nó không hiển thị bước "CharacterCreator Mesh detect Apply FaceFitting", Is there any way to redo that step without starting from the beginning?
Not that I know of unfortunately :(
Awesomme thanks
@@SiddheshJadhav-z2j no problem!
can you share the rig sirrr pleaseeee
I'm sorry I can't share this rig!
Great video! Very helpful!
Thank you so much for amazing video, can you please make a video how to put mocap on it?
@@syedahmadhassan6347 sure thing! I have a few other videos in the works but I’ll add it to the list!
@@AnimationSimplified Thank you soo much, also you're making very nice content keep it up.
nice video) thanks)
thank you this is very useful for me
You're welcome! Glad it helped you!
definitely gonna play with this workflow, never thought to use the time editor like that
Awesome! Yea the time editor is a pretty great tool. It used to not be that great but it definitely has gotten better!
More videos about styling mocap animation!!! it would be nice to see a mocap animation with acting skills.
Yes please!!! 🙌🏼
That's a great idea! I'll add it in the queue of videos! Got a few in the works but will probably work on this one at some point this week. Thanks for the suggestion! 😁
This is something cool
This is great! Nice to see how to push mocap and make it more stylized! 🤘
I have used maya 2018, 19 and 20. And tried 3 different versions of AS. The latest being 6.280. I am also using the exact same character and the exporting method. Despite that it doesn't do face at all. In fact it doesn't even prompt with the objects being out of the group or resetting it's transformations. The prompts I get are "align", "straighten" and then "build" where it builds and attaches. So i get the body rig but with -90 in transform and ungrouped mesh and no facial control. Is this a maya version issue?
I'm not 100% positive but I do believe it's a version issue. I use 2022 and sometimes 2024. I'd reach out to Advanced Skeleton's page on Facebook and see what they say.
Super helpful. Thanks for sharing your whole process. I'll be coming back to this guide often!
Awesome so glad you found it helpful! :D
Thank you very much, I really needed it but couldn't find any video instructions, I was lucky to see your video. Can you make a video tutorial on how to make mocap using arkit on the model taken from that character creator? Thank you very much.❤❤❤❤
No problem! Glad you found it helpful! Just to double check, you mean taking the CC4 character rigged up with AdvancedSkeleton and showing how to attach ARkit data?
@@AnimationSimplified Yes, I want to make mocap using Arkit. It would be great if you could make more videos because there are very few videos like this.
love you man
So now maya is a blender add-on
Hahaa basically! XD
❤❤❤
What’s NPR? Also I’m curious how you feel about the shows you’ve worked on. Are they something you care about with all your heart, or is it the sort of thing where you do your job then go home to think about your passion projects?
NPR is Non-Photorealistic Rendering as opposed to PBR which is Physically Based Rendering. And as far as the shows I've worked on, DEFINITELY something you care about with all your heart!
@@AnimationSimplifiedthanks for the explanation
Hello Animation simplified, I saw a few blender tutorials allowing their fbx export to even load textures in accurig and the also bringing the whole rigged body with textures back to blender... Is it possible for maya as well?
Hey! Sorry for the delay. I believe as long as the FBX has textures attached when you bring it into Accurig it should export out with textures to bring back into Maya. I've had textures attached before when I've imported back into Maya
Did you get a different camera? Looks sharp!
Haha I did! Thanks for noticing!
Loving all these vids!!
Thanks!
Snee
Great stuff Michael:)
Thanks Jourdan!
Nice! This is super helpful 🤘
Thanks!
thank you so much this is so helpful! I struggled with the name matcher and it never matched no matter what, and then with your tutorial it's just a simple click "import" then it's done!
Ah so glad it helped!
thank you ❤❤❤
