Thank you for everything. Really appreciate it. QQ: Do I need to activate "Offline Activation" NOW (I'm still using an updated version)? I'm not computer savvy; but will it still work offline? Do I still need to periodically update?

Whenever I try to use Cakewalk, it requires activation - even though I've done so not long ago. My main problem: I have no (repeat: no) connection to wifi etc in my studio, mainly to keep from being distracted. So I'll have to unplug my laptop and all equipment (incl audio interface) completely, take it into another room where I *do* have internet, and go through the activation process. Very time consuming, and it distracts immensely from actually using Cakewalk to do something useful, like creating and recording music. Is there *any* way to nót have to go through that annoying process every bloody time I want to use it?.... I'd happily pay for such a license, even if said software is (for the time being) free..

Mike, can you please do a Cakewalk video which talks about mono vs stereo in all aspects? When would you use either one for input and output? When is it appropriate or advantageous or the opposite.

Hey Mike, Hows things going with you. Have you given up on this channel as not much going on of late. Great content on your other channel but kind of get the impression Cakewalk is over for you...I have not used the trial version of Sonar but seen some pricing for Sonar Artist etc...not sure if there's any point buying it when Cakewalk is free and unlimited anyway.....btw i have a lot of great plugins from IK etc, so not a big selling point with whats included in Artist. Your thoughts/views always greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I installed cakewalk and I really love the interface! Really great set up, I went into the site, joined it saw a lot of females offering their music. I clicked on a song & it was so bad I almost fell out of my chair lol. That fucking autotune doesn't make vocals great it just disguises them a bit. Honestly I felt like I got attcked lol.

I have been using Cakewalk for years and before that, Sonar as it was before Gibson all but destroyed it. Now, every time I open a new or existing project, someshing goes to crap. A synth doesn't work properly or doesn't work at all. Some VST3 from people like IK Multi or Native instruments glitches and I have to spend hours using the NON creative side of my brain, finding and fixing the problem. This is Band Labs version...whatever the * that is. Congratulations I'm going to Cubase. It's actually supported by all third party software designers thus no more taking a crap on my projects and time. This, in my pissed off opinion...in NOT an improvement.

I just installed CW a few days ago from Bandlab website. I don't know if I downloaded the wrong link. I did click the button for free version. Do I need to re-download it again using this method?? And if so do I need to delete the version I just downloaded first? Thank you for your expertise 😊

Hi! Do you know about the issue between CbB and RME interfaces? Laggy behaviour is being showed with these interfaces in some users no matter how new the unit model is. I suffered this with first and last babyfaces, others with the UCX II, others Fireface, and so on. Thanks!!

Hey, there was another video that had a very good point about backing up your projects for future. The point is that it is almost certain that at some point in the future not all of your plugins are going to load. Have you thought about this and is freezing or track exports the way to go? Wondering how parallel processing aux tracks and busses should be backed up.

How can I edit the windows registry to keep Cakewalk happily always activated? I have windows 7 and don't want to go to win 10 and I have no need for Sonar. Am happy with Cakewalk.

Has the VIEW | SYSX been put back? That's annoying if you use Sysex a lot. It seems to have dissappeared. I agree that it must be a purchase not Subscription. The UI doesn't appear to have changed a lot for me. A bit underwhelming perhaps?

Hi Mike, thanks for your informative channel. Could you do a vid on how to make and how to store and retrieve your own drum loops & fills etc in cakewalk for future use. + When laying down a live guitar track I have trouble finding other takes if the track over loops while laying the track down. Great video, as always. Thanks, Mike! Are there any new features in its video playback capabilities? Not editing per se, but better scoring tools, such as being able to move the start point (trim-in works, but setting an alternate start point is always greyed out).

What’s the point of this procedure? Cakewalk’s still checking your account’s status for activation on online computer, if they want to they can just refuse to activate cakewalk on your offline computer.

I DL Cakewalk Next I've been using for a couple weeks now and I'm a fan . It's not as cumbersome as many other DAW's and Seems easier to use. If you create another video for this DAW could you possibly show how one can access WAV files DL from other sources or is that something not included with this DAW ?

Greetings- Been with Cakewalk since beginning. Question, in the Bandlab version, how do you fit all the stuff into the screen at once? My icons are so much bigger I can only see one section at a time without scrolling or closing other windows. I am matching your SI Drum map video but you have everything visable?

I paid $112 annual subscription for Cakewalk Sonar a few days ago. I'm loving it! Is it time for a new video explaining the $112 discount available and the download, install process? I had no issues as install was super easy. I gladly paid $112 because I watched YOUR video on subscriptions! Thanks for that video. Here are couple of things I noticed immediately on first use: the screen is way way way easier to look at as Sonar has super clarity, the video, tempo, arranger tracks just under the timeline are clearly labeled with pop up tags (this used to confuse me as I'd want arranger, but get tempo, for example), control bar is cleaner, all the keyboard shortcuts I learned from you still work, my hardware connected with Mackie Control and ACT without a hitch (once I rewatched your videos on how to do this!). Thanks for making this channel...now I'm going to make NEW track templates (using your videos, of course). Timothy in Nevada, USA.
