In part 3 I take you through the steps of making the Highpoly Space Suit, Gloves and Boots. Amazing! I was looking for the process of the jetpack! I love zmodeller and nowadays Im trying to do the most of my hs pieces there instead of dynamesh (except when Im concepting or looking for shapes ofc) May I ask you why for the helmet you started for dynamesh and did the technique or Marco and for the pack all in zmodeller? I gues it was better since the helmet is more a round shape with panelling right? Im fully getting into HS in Zbrush and evaluating which process is better on each case.
Awesome! Yep you nailed it, more rounded shapes like boots, gloves and helmets require their own technique. Extruding faces to make a rounded surface is a pain, so Zremesher comes in handy to generate the clean shells I need.

Sure, you can try the techniques shown here. If you're having trouble look up Zmodeler tutorials here on TH-cam if you're a beginner, they'll help you comprehend this workflow 😊

I love how you used ZModeler to retopo some of those pieces. What will you end up rendering in? Marmoset or Unreal maybe?
Yes Zmodeler is very handy in creating a clean shell to project details off! Normally I've seen people switch to maya or max to create these shells but ZBrush works just as well. Haven't decided yet, I'll try to set up a rig with UE5 and play with it!

Can I reach this level of complexity and precision with Blender sculpt or is Zbrush a must for hard surface sculpting ?
@gun1619 Good question! I haven't tried Blender sculpting before but have heard it has it has some decent poly modeling tools. New video Friday! High poly final
Yes you can get the same result with blender or 3dcoat. But maybe in slightly different way. All the tools used in this tutorial were retopology tool, polygrouping, masking, bevel and creasing and some vector displacement and boolean. All of which are available in other softwares. So it's only the matter of mastering these tools and where/when to use them

If I remember correctly, you're working on a Beast Hunter spacesuit from Starfield's concept art right? How's that coming along? I'm super hyped for it and hopefully with Bethesda's new update it can be achievement friendly
It's coming! The armor is done we're just making the dungeon and weapon that'll go with it. This video series is on a separate gearset I'm doing for a commission.

If you can make this happen why couldn’t they? I truely disliked the suits in the game . ( yes even the starborne because along with the hunters voice I could only picture “space venitas “ from kingdom hearts)
