Man after my own heart i regular fish my local beaches in the summer with light gear my spots are snag free and i can get away with a 2oz lead and 8lb line , ive landed double figure hounds and rays lost a fair few as well but its fantastic sport , i see plenty of blokes down the beach and on you tube with 25lb line and 60lb shockleaders winching in pin whiting and dogfish 90 per cent of the time and theres no possible chance of a fight from the fish at all , fair play to you mate , all the best
