Combat Chocolate history and making a modern D Ration!
Awesome man you actually ate it. I agree the US MREs should get bread like that . Thank you !
Great video you ate the the MRE . Loved it 👍🏻
I just got one of these and its a donkey at 3kg. That said, it can hold a cast iron skillet so I am going to keep it. Its far from perfect, but its also far better than spending five times as much on some titanium high tech alternative.
Where is recipe?
good dad

Thanks buddy!!

The trick is to keep the flames low, I thank you for the content.
Great video. Keep up the good work. The boys are really nice with helping you as well. 😊
Just received the Redcamp yesterday. Looking forward to taking it out very soon. Really impressed with the unboxing, seems quite well made. Flame management learning curve should actually be fun. Thanks for the post. I did subscribe and enjoyed.
At least you don’t have to eat the old dehydrated pork patties they were the worse ever MRE
That must have been a very early MRE!
This seems the most authentic recipe. I'll be using it soon. Have you tried them yet?
Yep! I made another video making a chocolate drink out of it. They are great!
@@piedmontsurvival8931 where'd you find recipe? Hershey's?
@@floydvaughn9666 I just googled D ration original recipe and adapted where I had to
@@piedmontsurvival8931 I Googled as you advised. Thanx a million.!
To be more accurate it calls for dark chocolate but I prefer milk so I used that
I wanted to see the stove at work, not someone making a pig of themselves with GMO processed MRE's. Then a few mins near the end someone trying to teach the teacher how to make a fire. Sigh... Also, when I go camping I take good safe and often organic food
Lots of other videos you could have watched. Video said US MRE. Sorry my non-organic food offended you snow flake
@@piedmontsurvival8931 you are a typical big mouth wanker. If you want to argue, then you should have called it "US MRE Review and Redcamp Bushbox" ..You got the title arse about big-time son. Also, I'd rather be an organic snowflake than a GMO Junkie.
I liked that menu.
Nice chilled video, you have no ego to go with your channel too. Enjoyed that mate. Phil, south of UK. Subbed
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Had one of these fireboxes for about a year brilliant bit of kit although mine has started to warp and I have to bend it about to get it to sit level. But still works great.
I really like it. Great for stationary camping!
@@piedmontsurvival8931 yes I'd agree it's a bit heavy for backpacking.
Honey doesn’t go bad.
You are right. But I didn’t know if the honey busted during shipment or at the facility. Either way didn’t want to chance letting my kids eat something that was busted open and could have been contaminated
These are great little camping stoves so easy to use
im curious what backpack you use and if you could please provide where you got it from? i dont want to assume anything but at first i thought maybe it was from the military
It’s a REEBOW Gear military tactical bag . I got it off Amazon and have had it for like 3 years. Survived months in the desert and still use it when I go to the field.
@@piedmontsurvival8931 interesting I have their like 24hr assault pack one but a kind of different brand for a like 3 day pack
Got cases of mre’s under my bed.:)
I just watched your video. I enjoyued it. Bu I drink my tea cold and unsweet. Unless the tea comes from a place called HTEA O...then i want my tea unsweet, cold and with a peach flavoring. Have a good day and thank you for your military service.
Thanks for effort, nice video tho !
I though it had bees wax to make it stand in desert 100 pluse temperatures?
I put gulf wax in mine when I make homemade ones

Chicken ala Barf, give me the old corned beef hash any day.
Hahaha
Panzer crackers, those things are perfect for bullet resistence
well we know you're not a real prepper!!!....any idiot knows that you need to open both ends to make the bread slide out easily. how the hell have you been able to survive as long as you have??!! maybe spend less time prepping and a little more time teaching junior how to open a plastic bottle of soda without using his teeth!!!
I give this video a 10 out of 10!
The beef jerky strips: that two pack has two different flavors in it. One is barbecue, one is teriyaki. It looks like you guys ate the teriyaki and you saved the BBQ. Just so you understand why it tastes different when you eat it later. These First Strike rations always remind me of a late-night stop at the local gas station/convenience store. Nice review, thank you! -Zed
Thanks!
You have some cute little helpers there!! 💙💙💙
dl=deci litre or 1/10th op a litre or 100ml (mili litre), so 2 dl is about 7 oz
Thanks for the info !! I had no clue what that meant
Peanuts are cheap. The government is cheap. Hence the frequency of nut mixes in our rations.
Still a great video ! Keep Them up man👌🏾
Great video. Earned my sub.
Yes, European rations are much better quality than American but, American rations last far longer. European/ Russian rations are typically only 2 years but can be stretched to about 4-5 years. American Mre' s we all know can go longer. I just consumed an MRE of 13 years old and it was nearly perfectly good. A little dry but nothing was ruined beyond consumption. I suggest the French rations, top of the line as far as I am concerned.
Good Job! Thank You
Miss that fruit bar. I never added water to it. Tastes great the way it is
Finally an mre prepped in the field.
Rule number one with any open fire. Clear any flammable debris ( like dead leaves - ! ) well away from the flame source - !
The sweet biscuits & peach jams plus coffee are considered breakfast in the Bundeswher.
I've known Josh since 2023 and he's always been great at handling packages.
Hahaha

The duck cassoulet was the damaged one, the one you heated up was pork and pineapple, nice review sir. Aah, you realised in the end, l commented too early! I've had some of these French menus and the mains are good in all of them,, shame your cassoulet was damaged. I agree on the drinks, the coffee and chocolate are weak tasting but better mixed like a mocha. I do not like isotonic drinks at all!
It tastes so fresh because their shelf life isn't that long compared to a US MRE. Good luck and God bless.
Poland> traditional Esaterrn European dish xD Typical xD Poland is located in Central Europe idiots
Next time just make a few cuts on the bottom of the can with your p-38 and the bread will come out MUCH easier.
Tha is for the tip!
@@piedmontsurvival8931 Cut open the top, take off lid. Cut open bottom, leave lid and push through. Easy Don't eat the bottom metal parts. Heat and serve, good stuff
Win earth
Why do they include crackers with just about everything? Are they suppose to be eaten with each of the items or just a filler carb?
The complete ration comes with jam or peanut butter which the crackers would be eaten with.
Got some Iraqi old equipment nice.
