When you change the exhaust on any bike do you need to notify your insurance under modification and does it effect the insurance etc

Guess I will have to buy some black spray paint for the bolts.

Why, why, why do companies supply a black part but then provide non-black hardware?

Just an observation, but the wind noise with the mic and everything, MAY be due to the fact that helmet your wearing is WAY too LITTLE for you. Your entire chin is nearly hanging out the bottom of the helmet, it should NOT be doing that, your chin should be INSIDE of the helmet. I have a big head so i have to wear an XL helmet and it still covers my chin and part of my throat when riding and it fits me very snuggly. If the helmet doesn't come down far enough, then ALL of that wind is just going to go straight up into the helmet regardless of what you do. Also, getting something like a windjammer to block a lot of that wind from going into the helmet might help with the mic noise as well.

How much louder would you say it is now compared to stock, and will neighbors notice compared to the stock volume? Hard to judge volume difference on just video.

I swear, i honestly believe that motorcycle companies put the SHITTIEST seats, handle bar grips, foot pegs and other accessories on their bikes that they can ON PURPOSE to FORCE us to buy aftermarket parts. I think they have some kind of deal with other companies that make the accessories or even own or have stake in accessories companies and get a kick back on every one they sell.

Nice. Just bought my new V&H which will be installed very soon. Love the rumble and growl it gives off. I'm sure my neighbours will be growling just as much when I leave for work at 6 am. 😂

Hey Too Fuego, the O.E.M. exhaust pipe looks like a tube of baloney with a black wrapper on it instead of a red one! The original one sounds like a Fisher-Price/Playskool model exhaust. Smart play to change it and have the 500 sound like a REALl motorcycle-FINALLY! 👍🏍️😁🦅❤️Doug

I read there are concerns about the construction of the backrest and that there could be an issue with it bending/breaking due to not enough support from the bolts holding it to the grab bar. Have you had any issues like this?

I just stripped one of my bolts too. How did you get yours out?

were you able to remove the rear bolts by hand? I was trying to update the seat on my rebel last night and neither of the rear bolts were budging. struggled for a long time and I stripped the most important bolt, now I’m nervous I won’t be able to get it out at all :/

does it make you slide forward when u brake? Also, I tried an in flatable pillow, which raised my seat a bit and the result was a lot of my weight leaning onto the handlebars, what's your experience?
