The Cockney Hitcher shows he is the true king of Slap Bass, the lead exponent of Jazz Funk Fusion, after smashing Mark King into the ground with his thumb like a blonde tent peg...
I love how when the green guy is playing bass it's obviously midi bass sounds
"the thumb-work"
Try the drum and bass section from Big Mac by the Buddy Rich orchestra.
Howard just needed to find Old Gregg.
As the years pass, I realize I am morphing into a female Howard moon….
1:03 club tropicana
who else actually likes this?!
It's coming up
Just hilarious 😅
You love it you Slags 🤣❤️🔥
Why Netflix hasn't picked up The Mighty Boosh yet is beyond me this show needs way more U.S exposure here.
It's a fusion of jazz and funk. It's called "junk".
fuzz
Souunda like Miles' early 70's Fusion stuff before the slap bass kicks in.
Happy thanksgiving pilgrim
was that a nazi turtle?
You love it, you slags!
“Jazz’s deformed cousin”. Thank you Noel and Julian for making my life that little bit better 😊
To be fair, that is some pretty intense thumb work.
If your truth requires redaction then your truth is a fraud.
Sounds kinda similar to Herbie Hancock - Palm grease
I just realized I'm Howard Moon trying to get my friends to like jazz-fusion
apples and pears...apples and pears
I just learned the first slap bass lick because it’s so funky and now I plan on going as the hitcher for Halloween
ok
You love it you slags

I wonder if Davie504 ever saw this.
I've not melted you onion, wehey am off!
"Get back to Level 42, and go about your business."
I'm pretty sure they must have been fans of the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
@@theparanoidandroid3583 Level 42 was the name of a British band from the 1980s and 90s. Mark King (who the Hitch mentions in that video) was in the band. Slap bass was his trademark.
@@tobetrayafriend Ah okay, that makes sense! (I'm still convinced that they must have listened to/read/watched Hitchhiker's at some point, the humour is similarly weird!)
@@theparanoidandroid3583 I see you're a fan of Hitchhiker's Guide (with your username!)
Being a bass player that loves slapping, I'm not a big fan of making fun of it, but this was absolutely hysterical! The part with the bear getting pist was killing me.
😂
I aint melted you onion
Does anyone know if the jazz funk song they play is real? I need it in my life
Same 😂
Its another one of Julian's ingenius creations.
Of course it's real. But is it really real?
<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
He looks like a green white walker at the end.
Feel the power of his fusion lick!!!
I loved that show! Those two guys worked so well together!!!
You love it you slags!!!
Ready? It's coming up. Coming up now. Maybe it's on the other side. Coming now, this is it, yeah... It's comin' up. Just a... let me fast forward it... It's coming up. This is it, man, ready? Ready for this? Ahhhhhh... it's not that, just a min... it's comin'. Where's the next... I always get.... confused because it sounds the same... little bit before, then it goes into the... it's comin... comin' up... EWWWWWWW! Feel the power of that! The thumbwork!!
I think we can all relate to that. "Here it comes! Just wait! After the next bit! just about now! No hang on a bit!"
I can feel it!
Lovely Hotel, ask to stay in the main building as its more interesting than the annex
that actually is really funky lol
and it;s "you're moving too fast it isn't a race" Not 'why don;t you back off this isn't a race'
now you mention it,.. does sound a lot alike :)
I know it's random, but the music sounds like the background to the line that goes "Why don't you back off? This isn't a race now. Slow it down and give me some space." during the dance routine. idk I guess it's just me.
It does fit in my head music.
Well funk does play a prominent role in both this episode and the Old Gregg one, so if they already had a funk music file created they might as well use it in another episode focused around funk.
how? do you love me is from a completely different episode!
I always get "Do You Love Me?" stuck in my head after watching this scene.
ARE YOU PLAYING YOUR LOVE GAMES, WITH ME
Its coming up..
The mixture of the cerebral musicality of jazz mixed with the visceral groove of funk
u love it u slaggs!!
tab please? :D
