Turning a hobby into a business. All the trips, stumbles and fumbles along the way (there are a lot). Watch the fails and the successes, and maybe learn or be inspired.

Beautiful box, congrats on the commission.
I've not used epoxy yet, thanks for sharing your experience. The board looks great.
Neither were terrible! 🙃 Good job!
You did a great job, that piece looks very nice.
Thank you. I appreciate the compliment. It was my first attempt ever at a humidor and working with burl.
Nice job!
Job well done!
Thank you!
Nice work! BTW, a shooting board is your best friend when doing these types of precise miters....
I made two shooting boards a while ago. I’m still learning with hand tools. Getting things square is always a miracle.
Nice work. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you. I appreciate the view and comment
Dude, nice work man. I’m particularly fond of how you cut those splines. I built a jig and it appears there’s a much simpler way How well does it hold humidity ?
Thanks for the compliment. The 4 I’ve made have been pretty good at holding humidity. With any humidor you need maintain and the more cigars the better. The boveda packs have always been good to me. I’ll never make a spline jig. This method is too easy.
I did the same thing, and when I saw what he did, I was like "well, I wasted a bunch of time for nothing 😂".
Would you happen to be able to share your build plan?
I'll be honest, I barely even sketch out what I do. I build everything on the fly. The most I did was a rough measure of how many cigars of one size I would want on the interior, then added the cedar and cherry widths.
Came out nice.
Thank you!
Looks good that mate
Thanks. It was one stressful piece
Great idea.
use a thin wire next time and pull its straight through
That's a smart idea. Thanks.
