Thanks for sharing...will be there in 3 weeks!
Hope you enjoy it! It’s one of my favorite European cities. Thanks for watching!
Its a travesty that you chose Old Bay over Tony's or Slap ya mama. Shame on you. Also it looks delicious.
No argument there.
100% worth a stop
Good
Thank you. Is a reservation in advance required in December?
Yes, I think it would be wise, especially for O Velho
Off to Porto in 10 days……just walking, taking pics and eating tapas and small eats and having a beer…….rinse and repeat!
@@TheSilvercue enjoy! It’s a beautiful city full of good eats and 🍷
What is the recipe of the cream?
Hey Dan. Excellent video. I am going in a couple of weeks, so will try out your recommendations for sure. However, I am not seeing a set of pins, but just a single pin for "Taste Porto Food Tours". Could you post the link to all of your pins on Google Maps, please?
thanks! heading there shortly!
@@rayl5074 have such a great time, it’s one of my favorite cities in Europe! Let me know if you enjoyed any of the places I recommended! 😀
Avoid the franshina - bad tasting , impossible to eat and messy!
Se come delicioso en Ciudad de México, espero volver pronto 😢
It is the best! I want to go back soon.
Meanwhile, in Amuuurica we keep eating our re-re-reprocessed garbage and call our nation the greatest in the world. 😂😂😂🤣
Great video no frills
@@sportsondemand thank you! Glad you appreciated the structure of the video. I don’t want to be a “vlogger” but I do want to share my experiences and recommendations! 🤝
I was more interested in the Kouign Amann when it entered the picture 😂
Haha you can’t beat a Kouign. So good
Awesome video! We are moving to Porto in 2 months, I will try all of these places.
@@gonebananas1076 agh so jealous! It’s beautiful, one of my favorite cities in Europe. You’ll have to come back and let me know what you thought about all of my suggestions! You can’t go wrong. So many good options.
Nice bro 👌👌
sadly i only go to portugal twice a year but when i am there im gobbling these up like there is no tommorow
Me agrada que probaron una gran variedad de comida, en puestos callejeros, mercados y restaurantes gourmet. Saludos.
Gracias! My favorite places to eat are food stalls and markets but I also wanted to try some of the great restaurants of Mexico City! I loved everything I tried.
That looks absolutely delicious! ❤🎉
@@NoOne123 it’s the best! I highly recommend if you are ever in Richmond, Virginia
looks divine
Kuchh naya dikhao
🤬
Nooo Cafe Clandestina is temporarily closed and moving
Noooo 😭 that’s the worst news I’ve heard today! Where are they moving to??
I ate at Husk in Savannah...I agree it was overrated!
Thanks, i Go on wendsday to Porto 😊
Enjoy Porto! It is truly one of my favorite cities in the world.
Wow, just what’s needed. Bang on info. Thanks and subscribed
I appreciate that! 🤝 My goal is to provide the most value instead of making you watch me eat and talk. 😂 Mainly because my children don’t allow me the time to do so while we’re traveling. 😅
@@dankeats definitely keep going man, love the video. Hoping to see more coming through
Can you share the list of ingredients ??
The entire recipe is in the description 👍🏼👍🏼
thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for watching!!
Well done
Thank you brother 🙏🏼
What a great trip! ❤ So many sandwiches 😆 but they were all so delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
We’re going back soon for sure, need all the meats and sandwiches 😂
des sandwiches à Porto ??? pas top comme nourriture
Great video... We have a food channel based in the Algarve.
Obrigado! I appreciate your kind words. I will check out your channel and subscribe. I hope you’ll do the same!
@@dankeats Already done my friend!
@@AlgarveAppetite 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
"French galette" ???? It's breton 😅🙄
Eh semantics. Bretagne is in France, no? lol
thank you for sharing all the best places to eat in Mexico city. Really appreciated. Sincerely, your new Subscriber :)
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and subscribing!! More videos on the way.
Thank for displaying what Mexico City has to offer when it comes to food. A lot of the bloggers only go to small shops or boutique like restaurants that do not make justice for the real food. Those places typically offer a variety that’s more appealing to white Americans or Europeans.
Thanks for the kind words! That was my goal. I always try to seek out the most authentic places and rely heavily upon the suggestions of locals to do so. 🙏🙏
As a Mexican I absolutely love this video. I think this guy really did his research and I love the picture… i would much prefer hear a narration over music because I love the sounds of the city but also can’t focus on the food because I’m trying to pause and read 😂
Thank you for the kind words and the feedback! I am still trying to dial in exactly what I want these videos to be like and I have narrated my most recent videos so there is less reading required. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave a nice comment with constructive feedback! 🙏🏼
Also to your point, I probably did 20 hours of research before our trip! 😅 There’s so much bad recommendations out there so I had to reach out to a few local chefs and restaurants to get their feedback and favorite spots as well.
Do tascas expect tips like the touristy restaurants?
No, I didn’t go anywhere where they expected tips. I would always leave a few euros though if they were good because I appreciate when people treat us well. They never expect it though.
Exactly the type of video I was looking for. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much! What about the video did you like the most? I love feedback from people so that I can implement more things that people like in future videos.
The true test is how many of these places will last. I grew in the low country decades ago when the good spots were over 20 years old. These days, 7 years is considered a good run.
Very good point! The competition is so high nowadays that if your restaurant is not top notch, it will die quickly. Only time will tell!
What makes you an expert on Portuguese food?
When did I say I was an expert on Portuguese food? I specifically said “based on local chefs opinions plus our own experience”. I spoke to some of the top chefs in town and got recommendations from them and asked where their favorite spots in town were.
Just checking because as you know a plethora of TH-camrs no nothing of local cuisine but still give advice
I appreciate pizza! I mean it’s Pizza let’s be real! Gotta have it 😂
@@tomdemeo2708 oh I know it. I watched nearly every single food guide video on Lisbon prior to coming and 95% of them were terrible. It’s part of the reason why I started my channel - unfortunately regardless of the city, there are a plethora of influencer wannabes giving recommendations when they have the palette of a common 6th grader. I do a TON of research prior to visiting and reach out to local chefs and restaurants to get their opinions on where to check out in an attempt to shine a spotlight on real local favorites, not just spots that are regurgitated on everyone’s videos who visit like Time Out Market.
I live in México city, actually I am working in puerto Vallarta. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video guys.. !!
So glad you loved it! 🙏🙏I also have a video on puerto Vallarta with some good recommendations.
Man ! Im hungry ! and im ready for bed too ! 😁🌶️
😂 that happens to me all the time on the late night TH-cam sessions
The tough one is finding Tamales there. I love tamales. But seem only Northern Mexico
Yes, I didn’t see them offered in any of the places we went
@@dankeats I saw a restaurant on Maderia Aveneda near the Government Plaza. But may be a one day a week thing as I did not see it again. Also near the Old Church on Maderia I met an old women with both legs amputated at the hip and her left arm amputated at the shoulder. Yet she was out on an electric skateboard selling embroidered masks and leather and bead jewelry. f I can locate her again, I have 50,000 Pesos so she can have a better mobility device. My dad was a WWII Amputee from WWII. Left leg at the hip. So she strikes me with courage like I have never seen before. Unbelievably happy as well
Don't drink any beer coming in a clear bottle, like Corona. Everyone will think you a fool with no sense of taste at all.
I didn’t find anyone to be judgmental like that at all while we were there, plus most smaller places like the taquerias only have one beer option anyways, so I’m drinking whatever they give me when I ask for a cerveza. 🍺
@@dankeats Everyone who knows beer knows clear bottles will skunk the hops. And that gives the taste of a dirty sock. No they won't laugh in your face but rampant they say how Americans are suckers for Corona. Mexican export most as they won't drink it. Mexico has some very good beers though. I have lived in Panama, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica nearly 14 years with 1 month or longer trips to Mexico twice a year. Of all places Costa Rica is most friendly and polite. But all false. Mexico the friendly and polite is genuine. By the way I craft brewed beer for over 50 years. And brewed beer in the US 30 years ago and offered $200 a gallon. Never sold it as that would have been illegal, plus even giving people beer they never returned my 1 liter flippy top bottles. Heck I ever made Beer in Saudi Arabia Alcoholic as well as brewed wine. Resorting to the use of bread years as any other was unobtainable.
@@dankeats Pacifica and Modelo Negra are a couple good choices. Ever the sight of Corona in a bottle makes me ill. Though in a can or on tap, it is a decent beer.
@@riskyron1416 for sure. I drank a lot of modelos and Pacifico (as you can see in the vid) and all of them use tinted bottles down there.
@@dankeats Good choices. Likely you would spit our Corona if you tried it. But advise against it. Green glass works too but bot as good as brown. And best of all is draft in a barrel. But seldom seen as the taps, valves and setup costs too much and the beer should be used within 10 days. So such as an Irish or British Pub in Mexico City is the best bet for finding that.
Taco Boy is one you need to hit
I have heard good things! What’s the best taco there?
@@dankeats Baja
Delícia de comida e excelente atendimento. 🎉
acordado! 🙏🏼
Amo o VELHO EURICO e TASCABALDRACCA. 😋
as minhas duas refeições favoritas em Lisboa 🫶
This was fantastic!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! 🙌 Are you traveling to Tulum soon?
Excellent video, professionally made. Just showing interesting sites without unnecessary comments and interruption. Great job!!!
Thank you so much for that feedback! My goal is to provide as much value in a short period of time (as short as possible at least) instead of doing a vlog style video, which I feel is its own thing. I just have zero interest in putting on a mic and talking about my food while I’m eating 😂 especially while traveling with my family/2 children. This is what’s doable for me at the moment so I’m glad it’s resonating! Please give me a subscribe and I’ll be posting more videos soon! 🙌🫶
We stayed at Altamar this week and had a great experience. Thanks for the recommendation
I’m so glad to hear that! It’s one of my favorite places to stay in the world, honestly. Did you guys get some good snorkeling weather while you were there? The reefs off the dock about 100 yards out are beautiful.
Muito bem. This list is awesome. We hope you do a list for Porto.
muito obrigado! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I am working on my Porto video as we speak. Do you live in Portugal? Would love to know your favorite spots.
