If anyone else noticed, most of the people that had a third place overall finish eventually fell really far down in a few seasons. In the first ever marble league, the thunderbolts placed third. The following season they placed 12th. In 2017 the same season, mellow yellow was third. They did have a win in 2021 and a 4th in 2019, but what about the other finishes after. in 2018, they placed 15th. In 2020, they placed 14th. In 2022, they placed 13th. And in 2023, they placed 11th. And the 2018 3rd placers the oceanics followed with 16th, 10th, (then in the showdown,) 11th/12th, then 16th twice. The hazers who place third in 2019 did so pretty well for a while. But then they failed to qualify and got relegated from even going to the qualifiers in 2022. And you just explained the minty maniacs situation. Gliding glaciers were 3rd in 2021, they then got 10th the following year, but then a terrible 15th in 2023. Both team galactic and savage speeders I don’t expect to fall, since they have been doing pretty well recently.

3:15 Minor correction: it was actually Yellah who DNF'd, not Yellup. In fact, Yellup actually had the fastest individual time of any team, with a run of 12.05 seconds. Nevertheless, great video essay! Like so many people have said, Mellow Yellow is unbelievably inconsistent. Gotta love 'em though, right? Also, that hurdles thing has caused me to hate the Speeders for life, lol. It did make the end of Marblocross so satisfying to watch, though, since Speedy came 14th and Yellup came third XD

Being a pinkies fan is SO hard! I’ve been here since the 2016 Marblelympics. When they pulled it off I actually shed a tear. It’s just marbles but they have such a great underdog story😭. #pinkypower🤙💓

The reason why RDI and Speedy didn't have a lot of duels in the front is that Speedy was only good at races where RDI was not present or where RDI did poorly (except for the Raceforest). Honestly, high-speed, steep races such as Palette Park and Short Circuit are not for RDI, but they are perfect for Speedy. On the other hand, RDI masters races with straight but gentle downhills, but Speedy wouldn't do as well. That's a reason why RDI has more duels with Royal and Clementin because they are more similar racers

I would still say it's RDI Records created by RDI (and only RDI): 4 podium finishes in one single season (RDI has done this in 3 seasons, while no other marbles have ever done this) 3 wins in one single season A perfect race over a single weekend (win, pole position, fastest lap, and no lead change) Highest number of spots gained (+17) 2 individual champions Individual (and team) champion crowned before the last race of the season...

The pinkies winning 2022 was such a glorious upset. I cannot wait to see what happens this year.

For the Eye text, the Mirage Meowtain race was more of a last second pass while every other race was more of a battle between them, in my opinion, S3 R4 at Oraceway was more of a duel between RDI and RYL, which was also pretty last second, but at least the race was close between them.
