      haha, thanks. it's actually almost the same exact steps as putting in the scanner room in this vid. i just used a shrunken border decal and did a universal adjacency glitch to the teleporter. check out beeblebum on youtube for more info on the UAG and shrinking objects that cant normally shrink.

      @@graigboyd6437 building them should still work. they just dont produce as much. the glitch timing can be a challenge sometimes

      @@drewcifer0 I spent 4 hours last night working on the frame and wiring to place them, I can place 4 on the same spot but it only shows it's producing 250? Is this because I don't have them powered yet?

      @@graigboyd6437 each extractor will still only produce the small number, but when you hook the set to the depot then you can see the full extraction speed of all the extractors connected to the depot. power may also be required

But I want to double check, you are running from one storage depo connector to only 1 floor of extractors right then moving to the next? So it'll be 100 pipes running across?

      @@graigboyd6437 i forget exactly how all the numbers work, but i think 100 pipelines total could be right. 10 per level and 10 levels? that sounds right. i can log in and check if you cant figure it out from the video. let me know

    How do you do it so that the electromagnetic generator goes straight up instead of piling in the same direction and tilting to the side?

      @@YellowcardPunkRock unfortunately hg changed the orientation of the power connector on the generators so that technique no longer works. you can achieve something similar using the cubes, pyraminds and the universal adjacency glitch

    having a weird issue on the planet that im on. it is as if im standing crooked and sure enough building perfectly straight up using your method has me deviating from the density. POIs over the horizon have the white line pointing to them slightly bent and it seems everything is slightly bent like that so i cant build up well at all

      @@Wulfjager make sure to make the initial floor piece as close to the actual 100% mark as possible. the further the first floor tile is from the center of the hotspot the more lean the tower will have.

    I found another issue: There seems to be times when stacked gas extractors only counts as one, it correctly detects them as four when I delete them again. Pointers?

    So, I made a stack of 20x4(its for a C-grade Nitrogen) it works fine for the following from bottom to up: 1,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20. They following are connected together: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12. I have remade the storage and extractor stacking points(the wires), moved the storage far away, tried to restack them(so they arent in order) But I cannot get them to not connect to eachother. Any tips? This is in Worlds Part 1 expansion..

      I have never tested this with gas extractors before so I am not sure if it works exactly the same, but check the orientation on each of the extractors to be sure they are twisted to the correct orientation. also be sure that each pipe leaving the extractors is at least two floors long. otherwise a short pipe will cause connections between nearby extractors.

      @@drewcifer0 each pipe connect to the same side of the extractor(away from the storage) both the working ones and the non working ones, rhis would imply the arent twisted wrong right? Also, all storage is setup as in the video, so I make the storage platforms about 10 floors away from the extractors

      @@drewcifer0 Ok, I found out what was wrong: There seems to be a bug(?) where connected wires and pipes dissapear when disconnecting/reconnecting. If you then remove the machines that they are connected to(when you cannot see the pipes in your game) the pipes will stay, if you then relog afterwards, you should be able to see the unconnected pipes, which you would ofc, have to remove. So my problem was that I had alot of invisible pipes up and down in the area where the extractors that didnt work as expected was.

    It's much faster just to do it with your ship and individually scan the planets because it cuts out all the time going to and from your freighter... I'm surprised that seasoned players don't realize this... 😮

      if i am using the scanner why would i leave the freighter? i just warp using the freighter and then use the scanner. way way way faster than using the ship.

      @@ShaighJosephson just to explain a little further, i usually know exactly what im looking for so i want to scan 20 or 30 systems in a row without landing on any planets or leaving my freighter at all. i check the planets just to see if there is one id actually like to land on. then if there is, i do, but generally most systems dont warrent any landing. ive seen it all already so ill only land for very specific unusual conditions.

    Quick question. How do you get the extractors to lay on their side? I can get them on their back pointed in the right direction, but I can't position them on their side. I'm slightly aware that wires have a twist, or direction, that can be determined by the lightning bolt, but I don't know if or how it applies in this situation.

    No matter what i do i cannot get straight column. I follow your example, i learned glitches, i think i make mistake with placing supply line on wooden floor, but hey, its only down to 92% so im fine with it.

      ive found that it is important to place the initial wooden floor as close to the center of the deposit as you can to ensure that the column is straight.

      @@vooooooooooooo pipe because you cant place wire under your feet i think? i forget exactly, but the important part is that the floor you place the pipe on is placed already as close as possible to the 100% mark, doesnt have to be perfect since the pipe gets it to that final perfect spot, but as close as possible by eyball

      what you can do is snap the light boxes outward the uag other parts in once you expand outwards far enough. if that doesnt make sense let me know. happy to meet in game to demo it for ya or try to explain it a bit better.

      you are able to place the teleport wires though? make sure your ubuave toggles to the teleport wire, not the regular power wire

      the technique has similarities to what is shown here. basically i made a vertical perfect circle using the teleport wires and used that as my scaffold. id suggest checking out some beeble and criscros videos to get good at controlling wire orientation. once you learn that then you can orient the deck pieces any way you want like i have done here.

      wire manipulation can be tricky. search youtube for beeblebum or criscros nms wire tutorials and they can help you understand the basics. coming at this with some build up glitch building knowledge will help a lot.

    I don't get it...Did they patch this out? I tried making a mine following your general design, but I'm getting crazy deminishing returns. On a 40 extractors site it's gonna take 167hrs to fill. I've not connected the silos together, but it's all connected as far as the games' concerned, checked on one silo (x10 silos) and it reads I have 400,000 capacity (40 stcks of 10 silos).

      yeah, they nerfed it pretty hard, you can only build 2 extractors before it starts deminishing now instead of 4

      @@drewcifer0 so the returns like you got in the video ain’t possible anymore? It was a nice meta game for building efficiently. That’s a shame they felt they needed to nerf it so hard.

      @@abmong not the returns i show in the vid unfortunately, but 167 hours sounds high. you should be able to get each set of extractors to output about 1000 units of material each hour. so if you had 100 stories youd still be making 100000 indium an hour. i think it was 2500 per hour previously. happy to meet in game to troubleshoot if you'd like.

      @@drewcifer0 Ah Lol worked out where I was going wrong I think... Instead of 1 column of extractors going up I built 2 columns from 2 light floors snapped next to each other... Because I wanted the symmetry of having the pipes going off connecting to depots on both sides. Didn't realize that having extractors next to each other like that connected them even without connecting pipes. That's what was causing the whole network to be linked together as one, hence the 167hrs. Now I just have to rebuild with one small tile spacing between columns of extractors to separate out the network, that should reduce it to just under 8hrs per to fill to full, not the 167hrs. That's a lot more reasonableis, if I haven't missed calculated. One question though, you were stacking 4 extractors per snap point right? So on you're build you actually had 400 extractors instead of 100. Coz I wasn't stacking them just had 40 (1 on each snap point). So I should be using 80-160 based on 2-4 extractors on each of the 40 snap points?

      @@abmong at 40 stories tall i would do 80 extractors. 2 on each snap point. totally understand trying to get nice aesthetics, just gotta watch out for how those pipes, extractors,and depots interact.

      unfortunately hello games changed the orientation of the power connectors so that technique no longer works. you could use cubes and pyramids and universal adjacency glitch in the power generators using those to get a similar look

      @@drewcifer0 gotcha, thank you! I’ve been using the short alloy wall + stacking light floors to mimic it. But those three extra construction parts per stack are really starting to add up per base

      @@jamesfeldman851 not a bad thought to get a similar look, but yeah, part count will get ya. i forget if the buttons cascade delete but if they do that could be an option. get the generator snapped to the button wire output, then pick up the generator and drop it ao it goes back to where it was. if the switches cascade delete theyll go away when you pick up the generator...i just cant quite recall if switches cascade. might be worth a try

    Did something change with the generators? they are not stacking vertically they are staircasing.

      ah, yeah, that stacking technique no longer works because they changed the orientation of the wire connectors.

    Great guide just finished building mine! How do you do the laser gates and top light fissure I can't figure it out for the life of me

      Nice! for the top light fissure i just scaled up a light fissure to 3x and free placed it till i got it where i wanted. the airlock / shield thing is also light fissures. but i used a row of light boxes under the walkway and universal glitched in regular sized fissures over the top of each light box.

    How do you get the really small cubes? Like with prox switches?

      i use the universal adjacency glitch between the pyramid and a light box to turn all the faces into light cubes. then you can build those inward to make the snap points for a smaller sphere. just UAG from the light box to whichever part you want to use.
